2026 Honda City facelift spied undisguised in India Updated front grille, LED headlamps, and new tech features revealed Interior upgrades likely include 360-degree camera and connected car features
Honda Cars India is gearing up to launch the 2026 Honda City facelift later this month, and the sedan has now been spotted undisguised for the first time in India. The latest spy shots reveal the refreshed front-end design and hint at several upgrades aimed at keeping the model competitive in the mid-size sedan segment.
The facelifted City appears to follow Honda’s new global design language seen on models like the Prelude and Accord. Compared to the current model, the update gives the City a sharper, cleaner, and more premium look while retaining its familiar sedan silhouette.

The most noticeable changes are at the front. The 2026 City facelift gets redesigned LED headlamps with integrated daytime running lights and a revised grille with a layered horizontal mesh pattern. The grille now flows more cleanly between the headlamps, giving the sedan a wider and more upright stance.
The lower bumper has also been updated, featuring angular inserts on the sides and a cleaner central air intake. The undisguised spy shots confirm that Honda has gone for an evolutionary update rather than a complete redesign.
The side profile remains largely unchanged, though new alloy wheel designs are expected on higher variants. At the rear, subtle updates are likely, including revised tail lamp detailing and a refreshed bumper layout.
While interior updates are expected to be limited, Honda is likely to introduce a few key additions to keep the City competitive against rivals like the Hyundai Verna, Skoda Slavia, and Volkswagen Virtus.
The facelifted City may include a 360-degree camera, updates to the infotainment system, and connected car features. Safety equipment is already robust on the current City, featuring six airbags, vehicle stability assist, hill start assist, tyre pressure monitoring, and the Honda SENSING ADAS suite. Honda SENSING provides adaptive cruise control, collision mitigation braking, lane keep assist, road departure mitigation, and auto high beam functionality.
Mechanically, the 2026 Honda City facelift is expected to continue with the same 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 121 PS and 145 Nm of torque. Transmission options will remain a 6-speed manual and CVT automatic.
Honda appears to have focused on refreshing the design and adding tech features rather than making changes under the hood, keeping the City relevant in India’s competitive mid-size sedan segment.
