Hyundai Motor India recently launched the Aura Facelift in the country. This subcompact sedan competes against the likes of Honda Amaze, Maruti Dzire, and Tata Tigor in its segment. These sedan options offer similar features, however, the 2023 Hyundai Aura Facelift provides up to 30 safety features. 2023 Hyundai Aura Facelift is available in three variants; E, S, and SX, ranging from Rs 6.29 lakh (ex-showroom). Its top-spec trim is priced at Rs 8.57 lakh (ex-showroom). This pricing is slightly cheaper than the Honda Amaze, ranging between Rs 6.89 lakh to Rs 9.48 lakh (ex-showroom) for its E, S, and VX variants. On the other hand, the base variant of the Maruti Suzuki Dzire is priced at Rs 5.98 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs 9.03 lakh (ex-showroom). Tata Tigor with XE, XM, XZ, XMA, and XZA variants is priced between Rs 6.09 lakh (ex-showroom) to Rs 8.83 lakh (ex-showroom). Comparing the prices of all these four models, the New Aura seems to be more affordable with enhanced design updates.

The updated version of Hyundai Aura offers a mileage between 17 kmpl to 25 kmpl. Honda Amaze loses the game in terms of mileage as it offers a mileage of only 18.6 kmpl (Manual) and 18.3 kmpl (CVT). On the other hand, Tata Tigor provides 19.28 kmpl for manual and 19.60 kmpl for AMT. Even its new iCNG variant offers a mileage of 26.49 km/kg. Further, the ARAI-claimed mileage of the Maruti Dzire stands at 22.41 kmpl for petrol (Manual), 22.61 for petrol (AGS), and 31.12 km/kg for CNG (MT).
The Aura Facelift is powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine that generates 82 bhp of maximum power output and 114 Nm of peak torque. It also features a factory-fitted CNG option which delivers a power output of 68 bhp and 95.2 Nm torque. Both engine options are offered with a 5-speed manual transmission. The model also provides a 5-speed AMT on the top-spec variant. Honda Amaze on the other hand only offers 1 petrol engine with manual and automatic transmissions which produces 89 bhp of maximum power output with 110 Nm of peak torque.

Maruti Dzire has one petrol and one CNG model to offer. It comes powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine and is available with both manual and automatic transmissions. The powertrain produces 88.50 bhp of maximum power output and 113 Nm of peak torque. Compared to this, the Tata Tigor only gets a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol unit. It is available with a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed automatic gearbox. In addition, the naturally aspirated petrol engine produces 85 bhp of maximum power output and 113 Nm torque.
In terms of features, the New Hyundai Aura comes loaded with up to 30 safety features including Electronic Stability Control and Vehicle Stability Management, 6 airbags, automatic headlamps rear camera with display on audio, and other newly added equipment such as burglar alarm and automatic headlamps. Compared to this, Honda Amaze comes equipped with Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) Body Structure, Driver Seat i-SRS Airbag System, ISOFIX Child Seat Anchorage, High-Speed Alert, Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) with EBD, and more.
Whereas Maruti Dzire comes fitted with features like dual airbags, Anti-locking Braking System, and Electronic Stability Program with Hill Hold while the Tata Tigor offers dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and Corner Stability Control, a rear camera with dynamic guidelines, rear defogger, speed sensitive auto door locking, and a puncture repair kit.
