Hyundai Motor India has finally launched its Grand i10 NIOS Facelift model in the country. The starting price of the new hatchback is set at Rs 5.68 lakh (ex-showroom). With the cosmetic updates, the new Grand i10 NIOS gets a refreshed bumper, six airbags, new dual-tone colours, and much more. However, the interior remains mostly unchanged. Here is what’s new in the 2023 Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS.

The New Grand i10 NIOS features a refreshed design which makes it different from the outgoing model. Up front, the facelift version gets an upgraded grille with a larger mesh pattern. The LED DRLs get tri-arrow design and are positioned lower on the bumper. Since the LED DRLs are sitting lower, the new NIOS misses out on a pair of fog lamps.

From the side, the facelift receives new chrome door handles and 5-spoke dual-tone alloy wheels. Towards the rear, the most notable update is the connected light bar for its LED tail lights. Besides, the parking camera at the rear is now positioned below the lightbar.

On the inside, you will barely find any major difference between the old Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS and its facelift model. The only significant change between the two is the inclusion of the twin-dial setup for the instrument cluster. Previously, the top-end variants of the hatchback were provided with a semi-digital instrument cluster while the new NIOS is offered with a twin-dial setup as well as a small multi-information display in the middle. Apart from this, the upgraded version now highlights a new dual-tone colour scheme for its dashboard and the door panels.

In terms of safety, the four-wheeler offers more equipment than before. For example, it now comes equipped with six airbags, a wireless phone charger, a tyre pressure monitoring system, cruise control, electronic stability control, rear AC vents, and much more.

Like the old Grand i10 NIOS, the new version of the hatchback does not offer diesel or turbo-petrol powertrain choices. What it provides are two petrol choices that include a 1.2-litre Kappa petrol and a 1.2-litre Kappa dual fuel (Petrol & CNG). The 1.2-litre petrol unit generates 82 bhp of maximum power and 113.8 Nm of peak torque with the option of a 5-speed manual transmission and AMT while the 1.2-litre dual fuel can produce 68 bhp of maximum power and 95.2 Nm of peak torque, mated with 5-speed manual transmission.

Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS New vs Old: Colour Options

The Korean automaker is now offering its 2023 Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS in six colour options that include Titan Grey, Polar White, Spark Green, Typhoon Silver, Fiery Red, and Teal Blue. The facelift model is also offered in dual-tone colour options that include Polar White with Black Roof and Spark Green with Black Roof.

Hyundai Motor India has launched its Grand i10 NIOS Facelift at an introductory price of Rs 5.68 lakh (ex-showroom). This can go up to Rs 9 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-spec variant. The brand had already started accepting bookings for the model at a token amount of Rs 11,000 from 9 January 2023. Besides, the new Grand i10 NIOS will compete against the likes of Tata Tiago (priced at Rs 5.45- 7.90 lakh, ex-showroom) and Maruti Suzuki Swift (priced at Rs 5.92- 8.71 lakh, ex-showroom).
