Like the Wuling Cloud EV sold overseas, the MG Windsor EV will come equipped with a 38kWh lithium-ion ferro-phosphate battery and a front-axle electric motor producing 134.14hp and 200Nm. The Windsor EV can manage to go up to 460 kilometers on one full charge. It supports both AC home charging, which takes approximately 7 hours from 20% to 100%, and DC fast charging, in which the battery goes from 30% to 100% charge in just 30 minutes.
Contrast that with the Tata Curvv EV, which has a choice of two battery packs: a 45kWh pack for a 502km range and a larger 55kWh pack that stretches this to 585km. Fast charging is supported, with 150km top-up in 15 minutes and 10-80% taking 40 minutes on a 70kW charger. The electric motors of the Curvv EV develop 148bhp with the smaller pack and 165bhp with the larger pack, producing 215Nm of torque. An acceleration time of 8.6 seconds to 100kmph with multiple drive modes and regenerative braking increases efficiency.

In terms of its size, the MG Windsor EV bridges the gap between a hatchback and a big multi-purpose vehicle. It measures 4295 millimeters in length, 2126 millimeters in width including mirrors, and 1677 millimeters in height, with a wheelbase of 2700 millimeters. The boot space is 604-litres. This class of size will bring agility to town driving and space in the cabin.
The dimensions of the Tata Curvv EV are a bit more compact, at 4308mm in length, 1810mm in width, and 1630mm in height. It has a 2560mm wheelbase and 190mm ground clearance. Storage is a notable feature of this particular offering from Tata, as it provides a 500-litre boot capacity, enough room for regular use, and plenty of luggage.
The MG Windsor EV is a modern MPV with a cab-forward stance, something that, in essence, has a blanked-out front with a lower air intake, dealing with the tough requirements. It includes LED DRLs and a very unique layout for the headlamp setup. Flush-type door handles, EV-specific alloy wheels, and a charging port on the left front fender complement it well.
On the other side, the Tata Curvv EV comes with a sporty coupe SUV design. It gets an attractive closed-front grille, a sporty bumper, and black-colored cladding. Overall, its exterior elements lend a sporty look. Alloy wheels and flush-type door handles, along with sleek LED tail lamps, add modernity to it with a sports touch of aerodynamic outlook.
The MG Windsor EV has a premium, tech-rich interior. It comes with a layered dashboard that houses a large floating 15.6-inch screen for its infotainment system. The cabin is designed for comfort with a panoramic sunroof and an expected 'Sofa Mode' that allows the front seats to recline into a flat position for an enhanced driving experience.
The Tata Curvv EV’s interiors balance a concept of futurism with a touch of detailing that could be practical for most parts. The cabin houses a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a touch-sensitive climate control panel, and a 10.25-inch digital instrument console. The cabin also features use of premium materials, wireless charging, and ambient lighting. The interior features a rotary drive selector and, for other additional comforts, rear seats with a two-step recline function.
The MG Windsor EV is comes with comprehensive list of safety equipment, including adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, and a 360 degree surround-view camera. In addition, it also get six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
The Tata Curvv EV is the richest, featuring six airbags, front and rear sensors, a surround-view camera, and a range of driver assistance technologies. It is boasts Level 2 ADAS, adaptive cruise control, auto emergency braking, collision warnings, traffic sign recognition, and lane assistance. In its reported crash safety testing, the Curvv EV emerged with a 5-star rating after going through both Bharat NCAP and Global NCAP.

The MG Windsor EV is priced at Rs. 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom), which would make it quite competitive in the Indian EV market.
The prices of the Tata Curvv EV begin at Rs. 17.49 lakh for the vehicle with the 45kWh battery pack and go up to Rs. 21.99 lakh for the top Empowered+ A trim with the 55kWh pack. Bookings will open for Curvv EV from the 12th of August.
Both features and capabilities are praiseworthy in both the MG Windsor EV and the Tata Curvv EV. While the former comes with a good range and a very modern MPV design, the latter is endowed with a class-leading sporty design, advanced tech features, and great safety ratings.
