The battery pack and electric motor for the MG Windsor EV are expected to be the same as those for the Wulling Cloud EV. It is believed that it takes up space from the same 50.6kWh lithium ferro-phosphate battery and front-axle mounted electric motor. It will give 134hp power output and 200Nm of torque. The Windsor EV will cover an incredible range of up to 460km on a single charge. For charging the battery, it is equipped with AC Home Charging and DC Fast Charging. Using the AC home charging, the battery is charged from 20% to 100% in about 7 hours. With DC fast charging, the battery is powered up from 30% to 100% in 30 minutes.
The Tata Nexon EV is available in two ranges: medium range (MR) and long range (LR). The MR comes with a 30kWh battery pack, while the LR variant comes with a 40.5kWh battery pack. The MR develops 127.2hp and 215Nm of torque, while the LR variant churns out 142.68hp with a similar 215Nm. The LR does 0-100kmph in 8.9 seconds and tops out at 150kmph. The Nexon EV gets three drive modes: Eco, City, and Sport. This varies from model to model, with the MR being the one offering a shorter range than the LR.

The MG Windsor EV has proportions that are dimensionally between a hatchback and a large MPV. So, here are the dimensions: 4295mm in length, 1850mm in width, and 1652mm in height, and the wheelbase measures 2700mm. These are very close to mid-sized SUVs like the Hyundai Creta or a Kia Seltos, making this Windsor EV a compact utility vehicle with decent space available without the bulk. The size provides a comfortable cabin while keeping its footprint at a manageably small level for city driving.
By way of comparison, the Tata Nexon EV is a bit smaller in overall dimensions at 3994mm in length, 1811mm wide, and 1616mm high, with a wheelbase of 2498mm. Though it is shorter and narrower than the Windsor EV, it is very well-proportioned for its class. The boot space, when all seats are up, is 350-litres. It has a ground clearance of 190mm, which is beneficial for traveling on Indian road conditions. This ground clearance gave the Nexon EV the leg room to cruise across uneven surfaces and potholes with great ease.
The MG Windsor EV takes on a modern MPV design that has cab-forward styling. It has a blanked-off front design with a little lower air intake housing the RADAR setup for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). This consists of LED DRLs at the top connected with an LED strip in a divided format for the headlamp, and the main headlamps are positioned at the bottom bumper. The external features of the Windsor EV include flush-fitting door handles, EV-specific alloy wheels, and a charging port at the left front fender.
The Design of the Tata Nexon EV is based on the Curvv SUV Coupe concept. With more of an aggressive look given by the body-color upper panel, the headlamp housing now features the trapezoidal setup. Full-width LED light at the front, displaying the status of the charging. A split headlamp setup remains, though, with a large lower air intake and sequential LED DRLs with a big faux silver skid plate enhancing the front end. The side profile is similar to those of the old models but with updated alloys, while the rear gets connected to LED tail lamps and a roof-mounted spoiler.

The interior of the MG Windsor EV has been crafted for premium space and contemporary technology. It consists of a layered dashboard mounted on a large floating 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment, which reduces the number of physical controls. We can expect the feature included in the international model to be "Sofa Mode" for front seats reclining into a flat position. The cabin is comfortable and high-tech, with a panoramic sunroof, representing the all-electric platform of the vehicle.
The interior of the Nexon EV is finished in a dual-tone black and purple ambient theme with glossy panels. Though the cabin layout is the same as what is seen on an internal combustion engine Nexon, this one gets an update in the form of a floating 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Also, it gets wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. A new Arcade.ev app suite will enable streaming services on the device. The Nexon EV will continue its large 10.25-inch digital driver display with all the connected technologies, ventilated front seats, a wireless phone charger, and a JBL sound system.
The features expected to come with the MG Windsor EV include a comprehensive ADAS suite setting, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, and a 360-degree surround-view camera. In terms of safety, it shall have four airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, and a tire pressure monitoring system as available in the international spec model.
The Tata Nexon EV gets a safety kit with six airbags, electronic stability control, and front and rear parking sensors. Others include ISOFIX child seats, hill hold control, and hill descent control. On safety, a five-star rating by Bharat NCAP is what to add.
