The Tata Curvv churns out great performance. The electric variant will have a 60kWh battery that can support up to 500km in a single run. Its ICE model will be equipped with a 1.5L turbocharged diesel engine, producing 115PS and 260Nm of torque, with a 5-speed manual or an AMT transmission. The petrol variant will be powered by a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine. It produces 125PS of power and 225Nm of torque. The transmission choice will be a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT.

In comparison, the Hyundai Creta has two engine options. A 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine produces 160PS of power and 253Nm of torque, which is mated to a 7-speed DCT. Its diesel variant also gets a 1.5-liter engine that produces 116PS and 250Nm of torque. It is available with both 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions. It also offers a naturally aspirated petrol engine suited best for city use.This model gets a 1.5L naturally-aspirated petrol engine that produces 115PS and 144Nm of torque.

The Tata Curvv Concept features a design, inspired by things like flared arches, sleek alloy wheels, and a striking two-piece wraparound LED tail light setup. Its sporty silhouette finds further aid from the steeply sloping roofline and flush-fitting door handles, which make it look quite modern. 

The Hyundai Creta, on the other hand, shows a design that exudes practicality with power-adjustable and electric folding mirrors, a rear spoiler, and a black chrome radiator grille. The addition of some convenience features in the Creta, like a panoramic sunroof and LED lighting, makes this even more desirable.

Features And Technology

Advanced features that Tata will equip the Curvv with include, a 12.3-inch infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, and more.

In comparison, the Hyundai Creta comes with a 10.25-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital cluster, leatherette upholstery, ambient lighting, and an 8-speaker Bose Sound system. Additionally, it has power steering, front and rear power windows, an air conditioner with a heater, electrically adjustable front seats, auto climate control, and rear seat headrests with adjustable headrests. Both get wireless phone charging and ventilated front seats, but the former takes the upper hand in the case of features.

Safety is not compromised on either of the models. The Tata Curvv will come with up to six airbags, electronic stability control, a 360-degree camera, and advanced driver assistance systems such as adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist.

The Hyundai Creta also lays a strong emphasis on safety features, which include six airbags, a 360-degree camera, tyre pressure monitoring system, and several electronic stability features. In both cases, the drive is safely secured.

With these prices, from Rs. 10.50 lakh to Rs. 20 lakh, the Tata Curvv will surely be a nice volume builder in this compact SUV segment. 

The prices of the Hyundai Creta vary from Rs.11 lakh for the base petrol-manual variant to as much as Rs. 20 lakh for the top-end turbo-petrol and diesel-automatic variants.
