Tata Motors has long placed a strong emphasis on design, and this dedication is evident in the extensive exterior transformations seen in the 2023 Tata Nexon facelift and Nexon EV facelift. More or less, both variants bear a striking resemblance to each other, with only minor differences setting them apart. The Nexon facelift brings a fresh split-headlamp design with LED lights at the front, accompanied by a fully revamped bumper. The rear of the vehicle also gets a new bumper and taillight design, enhancing its overall aesthetics. Additionally, the Nexon facelift rides on a set of newly designed 16-inch aero alloy wheels, completing its updated exterior appearance.
The Tata Nexon EV Facelift, meanwhile, showcases an intriguing evolution in design. It sports refreshed front and rear fascia, lending it a more dynamic and futuristic look. The front grille has been redesigned, and the vehicle now features LED-connected DRLs with welcoming and farewell functions, along with the ability to project charging status when connected to a charger—an innovative touch that sets it apart from its ICE sibling. The rear of the vehicle boasts new LED taillights with an interconnected pattern, and the integration of the rear wiper into the spoiler adds to the overall sleek and uncluttered aesthetic. The vehicle's profile maintains a familiar yet modern appeal, characterized by a rising beltline and a coupe-like effect.

In addition to this, The Nexon EV's Empowered trim takes the experience a step further with Arcade.ev apps and with the ability to stream content from OTT platforms like Prime Video and Disney+ Hotstar, ensuring occupants stay engaged during charging stops (works when the parking brake is applied).
The Nexon facelift continues to utilize its well-known power plants, comprising the 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine and the 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine. Interestingly, the power and torque figures for these engines remain consistent, delivering 118bhp and 170Nm for the petrol variant and 113bhp and 260Nm for the diesel model. A notable addition to the line-up is the introduction of a new seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, exclusively available with the turbo petrol Nexon. This advanced dual-clutch transmission is equipped with paddle shifters, enhancing the driving experience and providing greater versatility on the road.
The Tata Nexon EV is available in two variants: the Long-Range version, equipped with a 40.5 kWh LFP-based battery delivering an impressive range of 465 km (on the ARAI cycle), and the Medium Range variant, featuring a 30 kWh LFP-based battery providing a commendable 325 km of range. Both variants incorporate liquid cooling technology to withstand high thermal stress. They offer a charging speed of 7.2 kW and can be DC fast-charged from 10% to 90% in just 56 minutes. Notably, Nexon EVs can serve as vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) chargers and as a source of power for other electrical loads (V2L).
Safety is paramount in both the updated Nexon facelift and the 2023 Nexon EV facelift, with an array of standard features to ensure peace of mind on the road. Both variants are equipped with six airbags, ISOFIX anchorages, and an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with ESP (Electronic Stability Program) as standard, providing comprehensive protection. Additionally, the SUVs also feature a 360-degree camera system with sensors both at the front and rear, enhancing parking safety. Seatbelt reminders for all occupants and front parking assistance further contribute to the comprehensive safety measures in place. The commitment to safety is further underscored by the inclusion of standard emergency and breakdown calls, hill descent control, hill ascent control, panic brake alerts, auto vehicle hold, and i-TPMS.
