Tata Punch EV Empowered+ LR FC vs Nexon EV Fearless: Comparison

When it comes to electric SUVs in India, Tata has definitely been at the forefront with its technologically advanced and safe cars. Two such products from the house of Tata include the Punch EV and the Nexon EV. Both are different in terms of body types - Punch being a micro SUV and Nexon being a sub-compact SUV.

We have picked the range-topping Empowered Plus Long Range Fast Charging variant of the Punch EV which comes for Rs. 15.49 lakh, ex-showroom, for this comparison. It is, thus, only fair to compare the former with the Nexon EV’s Fearless variant priced at Rs. 15.99 lakh.

Conclusion

To sum things up, it can be inferred that the Tata Punch EV Empowered Plus Long Range Fast Charging variant differs from the Nexon EV Fearless trim in a variety of areas including size, features and price. No doubt that the Punch EV’s said variant has a lot of equipment on offer, but we think that it is a bit overpriced at Rs. 15.49 lakh ex-showroom. Also, you will have to consider the car’s running cost depending on your daily travel.

On the other hand, the Nexon EV’s Fearless trim coming at Rs. 15.99 lakh is decently priced in the segment but misses out on a lot of features like automatic headlamps, ventilated seats and a voice-assisted sunroof, which may be crucial to many. If you can stretch your budget, we recommend opting for the Nexon EV Empowered variant.
