Hyundai has been working on the electric version of the popular Creta SUV. The test mules of the SUV have been spotted multiple times before. Now, ahead of its production in late 2024, the mid-size SUV was spied testing once again in India.
The latest spy shots reveal that the upcoming Creta EV will be based on the Creta facelift SUV. In terms of design elements, it will get the same features as the regular Creta including LED DRLs with the connecting light bar, split headlamp setup, roof rails, connected LED tail-lamps, and a rear spoiler with the integrated stop lamp.
As for the new design features, the Creta EV will highlight a blanked-off grille with an integrated camera. It will also have an ADAS sensor over the bumper. The charging port has its place on the front fender. Besides, it will run on the aero-designed alloy wheels.
Hyundai Creta EV is likely to get a dual-screen setup for the touchscreen infotainment system and the instrument panel. It is also likely to offer ventilated & powered-adjustable front seats, and two-spoke steering wheels with multiple control buttons.
Other noteworthy features include a Bose sound system, dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree surround camera, a wireless charger, auto-dimming IRVM with telematic, and rear AC vents.
The upcoming electric Creta is likely to be powered by a 50-60 kWh battery pack which could offer a range of up to 500 km on a single charge. It is also said that the EV could also receive various battery packs and range options depending on the variant. Upon launch, it will rival the upcoming Maruti Suzuki eVX and Tata Curvv EV.
