New Car Buying Platform
Kia Motors has decided to add more cars to its product portfolio. The automaker is working on multiple models including EV9, New Carnival, Carens Facelift, and Carens EV to launch in India. Two of these including Syros and Carens have been spied testing, revealing design and features. Both Kia EVs will be developed locally and are expected to come before the end of next year.
Here is an overview of upcoming Kia electric cars in 2025:
Expected to launch by the end of 2025, the Kia Syros will be positioned between Sonet and Seltos. The upcoming compact SUV will also be showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo in January 2025. Visually, it will have a boxy styling with a flat bonnet. Inside, it will receive premium features such as a panoramic sunroof, a powered driver seat, a ventilated front seat, ADAS, TPMS, six airbags, a 360-degree camera, and front parking sensors.
The Syros is expected to come in both ICE and electric powertrain. The ICE-powered model might take power from the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine. This 3-cylinder unit can deliver 118 bhp of power with 172 Nm of torque, paired with a manual and a dual-clutch automatic unit. It is likely to get an electric powertrain with a battery pack of around 40-45kWh. As for the price, it is expected to start from Rs 9 lakh (ex-showroom).

Another locally developed product from Kia would be Carens EV. It can be launched by the end of 2025 or by 2026. The South Korean automaker might also launch the Carens facelift in mid-2025. Its electric variant has also been spotted testing, giving ideas of what can be introduced in terms of design and features.
The electric Carens will share similar styling as the ICE-powered version. It will feature a closed-off front grille, a new headlamp setup, and unique alloy wheels. In terms of features, the Carens EV is likely to get a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment, a digital instrument console, an electric sunroof, and ventilated front seats. It might also receive an ADAS suite comprising features like Lane Assist, Autonomous Emergency Braking, and Blind Spot Monitoring, among others.
It is expected to come with a 45-50kWh battery pack with an electric motor mounted on the front axle. With this, it can deliver a maximum range of 400-500 km on a single charge. Price-wise, the Carens EV is expected to cost around Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom).
