India’s #1
New Car Buying Platform
After the successful unveiling of the Global Pik Up truck concept in August 2023, Mahindra continues to make waves in the industry. Recently, the company has stirred up excitement by filing a trademark for the 'Scorpio X' nameplate. Interestingly, the font design of Scorpio X resembles that of the popular Scorpio N model.
Last year's concept showcased some impressive design elements, but it is common for the production version to undergo some refinement. The Scorpio X Pik Up Concept will share a striking resemblance to the Scorpio N, particularly evident in its front fascia. It will get a new bumper, adorned with a sizable bash plate, tow hooks, and a distinctive grille.
Notable additions will include a snorkel, roof rack with an LED light bar, and a cargo area housing two spare tyres. The tailgate will display the "Mahindra" emblem, while the bumper will be equipped with tow hooks and a step for enhanced accessibility to the cargo bed.
In addition, the production version is expected to have lots of tech. It is likely to offer Level-2 ADAS, high-speed internet using 5G, and semi-automatic parking.
The upcoming Scorpio X Pickup Truck will use a powerful Gen-Il mHawk diesel engine. It might come with a 4WD drivetrain, meaning all four wheels can get power from the engine. It is expected to allow you to change gears while driving. Plus, it is going to have four different driving modes: Normal, Grass-Gravel-Snow, Mud-Rut, and Sand. And if you prefer petrol engines, it will have an option for that too, just like the one in the Scorpio N.
Mahindra Scorpio X Pik Up is going to hit the roads officially in 2025. You can expect to see it in places like South Africa, Australia, and India first. Stay tuned for more updates!
