It forms part of Volkswagen's very clearly defined so-called triple A plan; which consists of the three steps: - Catch-up, Attack and finally Lead.
Volkswagen has been successful in electric vehicles already. Since 2019, it has sold over 1.35 million ID. vehicles in the global markets. In 2024 alone, it managed to sell more than 380,000 electric cars, an indication of massive growth in electric vehicles.
