Japanese automaker Nissan unveiled the facelifted version of the Magnite in India with an introductory price of Rs 614000 (ex-showroom, pan-India). The updated model features a new design language and a host of updated features. Deliveries of the facelifted model have started rolling in already, making it a hot favourite among buyers who want to get a hold of a compact SUV.
The Magnite facelift is available in 18 broad variants - Visia, Visia Plus, Acenta, N-Connecta, Tekna and Tekna Plus. The price for the compact SUV starts at Rs 614000 and goes up to Rs 1176000. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.
Most Value for Money Variant
Acenta: Best Value for Money. The Acenta is best in terms of value. It strikes a good balance between features and performance without adding much to the price.
The MODEL has so many comfort and convenience features inside. Some of these include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 7-inch digital driver display, auto-dimming inside, rearview mirror (IRVM), four-colour ambient lighting, cooled glovebox, front armrest with storage space, wireless phone charger, and remote engine start feature.
The Magnite 1.0L NA manual and automatic variant delivers an ARAI certified mileage of 19.4kmpl and 19.7kmpl, respectively. The turbo manual delivers 19.9kmpl, while the turbo CVT is claimed to offer 17.9kmpl
For the pre-facelift model, Global NCAP has awarded the Nissan Magnite 4 stars. The facelifted version comprises a range of safety features including 6 airbags (standard), a 360-degree camera with blind spot monitor, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), hill-start assist, electronic stability control (ESC), and ISOFIX child seat anchorages.
It is offered with seven monotone colour choices and five dual-tone exterior paint schemes. The monotone shades include Sunrise Cooper Orange, Storm White, Blade Silver, Flare Garnet Red, Onyx Black, Pearl White, and Vivid Blue. The dual-tone paint choices include Sunrise Cooper Orange with Onyx black roof, Vivid Blue with Onyx black roof, Flare Garnet Red with Onyx black roof, Pearl White with Onyx black roof, and Blade Silver with Onyx black roof.
The Magnite SUV is available with two petrol engines - a 1.0L naturally-aspirated petrol and 1.0L 3-cylinder turbo. While the former is good for 71bhp and 96Nm, the turbo unit delivers 98.63bhp and up to 160Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual, a 5-speed AMT with NA petrol and a CVT automatic with turbo version.
In terms of dimensions, it is 3,994 mm long, 1,758 mm wide, and 1,572 mm tall with a wheelbase of 2,499 mm. The car offers an impressive boot space of 336 litres and provides ample space to store luggage.
Some best subcompact SUVs are competing with the Magnite including Renault Kiger, Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, and Mahindra XUV 3XO. It also competes with sub-4m crossovers like the Maruti Fronx and the Toyota Taigun, along with the newly launched Skoda Kushaq.

Small dimensions; easy to manoeuvre in tight urban spaces.
Cons:
Limited room at the rear inside for taller people
Some interior trim materials are not of premium quality like their rivals.
