For passengers’ protection, the EX40 has seven airbags, ABS with EBD, tyre pressure monitoring system, ISOFIX child seat anchors, park assist, pilot assist, hill start & descent assist, a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control, rear collision warning, blind-spot detection, cross-traffic alert, lane keeping aid, etc.
The EX40 comes equipped with a 69 kWh battery pack, powering a 238PS rear-axle-mounted motor which produces 420Nm of peak torque. It has a top speed of 180 km/h and can complete the 0 to 100 km/h run in 7.3 seconds.
As per the WLTP (Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure) standards, the EX40 with a 69 kWh battery pack offers an estimated range of 450-470 km on a full charge.
With the help of a 250kW DC fast charging, the SUV can be energised from 10 to 80% in just 34 minutes. On the other hand, an 11kW AC home charger will take around 7 hours to fully charge the EV.
It is offered in six colour options: Crystal White, Fjord Blue, Sand Dune, Onyx Black, Cloud Blue, and Sage Geen.
The Volvo EX40 measures 4400mm in length, 1873mm in width and has a wheelbase of 2702mm. Its cargo capacity is rated at 410 litres.
