Powering the S-Class is either a 3-litre 6-cylinder diesel (286PS/600Nm) or a 3-litre, 6-cylinder petrol engine (381PS/500Nm) mated to a 48V mild-hybrid system. The latter enables the sedan to complete the century sprint in only 5 seconds before attaining a top speed of 250 kmph.

The S-Class claims an ARAI-rated fuel efficiency of 13.38 kmpl for the S 350d diesel variant and 11.64 kmpl for the S 450 4MATIC petrol trim.

Dimensionally, the S-Class is 5289mm long, 2109mm wide, and 1503mm tall. It boasts a wheelbase of 3216mm and a boot space of 550 litres.
