Latest Update - the much-awaited Mercedes-Benz EQG, an all-electric version of the G-Class, has finally been launched in the Indian market.

Mercedes G 580 Electric Powertrain

The all-electric G-Class is packed with a 116 kWh battery pack with quad-motor setup, one motor for each wheel, to offer an all-wheel-drive (AWD) drivetrain. The quad motor setup offers a combined power and torque output of 579bhp and 1164Nm, respectively. It is claimed to offer a WLTP certified range of up to 455km on a single charge. This electric SUV also comes with a 360 degree spin functionality known as 'G-Turn'.

Electric G Wagon Features

In terms of features, the G 580 electric gets dual 12.3-inch displays for touchscreen and digital instrument console. Other features include an augmented reality-based heads-up display (HUD), an ambient lighting, dual 11.6-inch rear screens, wireless phone charging, and a Burmester 3D sound system.

Safety Features

For safety and security, the new Mercedes G 580 gets multiple airbags, a 360 degree surround view camera, and an advanced driver assistance system. ADAS suite offers lane assist, autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, auto high beam, and others.
