Maruti Suzuki Brezza

Maruti Suzuki’s highly popular Brezza subcompact SUV recently received a midlife update in India. The facelifted model comes with subtly revised styling, additional features and a new turbo-petrol powertrain. Compared to the previous model, the new 2026 Maruti Brezza 1.5L petrol variants are expensive by up to Rs 69,000, while the CNG variants have become costlier by up to Rs 19,000.

2026 Maruti Brezza Price

The updated Brezza lineup is available in four trims – LXi, VXi, ZXi and ZXi+ - priced between ₹7.40 Lakhs* – ₹13.71 Lakhs*, ex-showroopm. The new turbo-petrol variants are available within the price range of Rs 7.40 lakh – Rs 11.16 lakh, while the CNG LXi, VXi and ZXi variants are offered at Rs 9.30 lakh, Rs 9.99 lakh and Rs 11.5 lakh, respectively. The 1.5L manual variants are priced from Rs 8.30 lakh to Rs 10.50 lakh, while the 1.5L automatic cost between Rs 10.61 lakh – Rs 13.55 lakh. All prices mentioned are ex-showroom, India.

Key Features of Brezza

The 2026 Maruti Brezza facelift comes with a significantly revised front fascia, featuring a newly-designed grille with a connecting panel between the headlamps, a tweaked bumper with a dark chrome insert, slightly repositioned fog lamps in new triangular housing and a new faux skid plate. However, the LED headlamps and L-shaped DRLs remain unchanged. Design elements such as new dual-tone cladding on the lower section of the doors, newly-designed 16-inch alloy wheels add more to its refreshing looks.

Inside the cabin, the new Brezza retains the black and brown theme. However, new trim materials, gloss black trims, updated dual-tone leatherette seat upholstery and new HVAC controls enhance its premium quotient.

In terms of features, the Brezza facelift offers a larger 10.1-inch SmartPlay Pro X infotainment system with Alexa and built-in navigation, an air purifier, ventilated front seats, 64-ambient lighting and active cooling for the wireless phone charger.

For safety provision, the SUV now offers blind-spot warning, a tyre pressure monitoring system, rear cross traffic alert, front parking sensors and safe exist warning. The new Maruti Brezza 2026 facelift has secured a full 5-star safety rating in the Bharat NCAP (New Car Assessment Program) crash test.

Engine Specifications

Similar to the previous model, the new 2026 Maruti Brezza facelift comes with the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated, 4-cylinder petrol engine, producing power worth 103bhp and 139Nm of torque. The NA petrol engine is also available with a factory-fitted CNG kit, delivering 88bhp and 121.5Nm in CNG mode.

With the midlife update, the Brezza lineup receives a new 1.0-litre direct-injection turbo-petrol engine, borrowed from the Fronx compact crossover. This engine generates a peak power of 110hp and 170Nm of torque. A new 6-speed manual gearbox comes as standard, replacing the old 5-speed unit. Meanwhile, the 6-speed torque-converter automatic continues to be offered exclusively with the NA petrol engine.

Mileage

Mileage figures of the updated Brezza range between 19.96kmpl – 26.90km/kg. The new 1.0L turbo-petrol manual variants offers a claimed fuel efficiency of 20.47kmpl, while the 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol variants deliver mileage of up to 21.09kmpl with the manual gearbox and 20.17kmpl with the automatic transmission. The LXi, VXi and ZXi CNG manual versions offer a claimed ARAI mileage of 26.90km/kg.

Dimensions and Boot Space

No changes have been made to its dimensions. Similar to the pre-facelift, the new 2026 Maruti Brezza facelift continues to measure 3,995mm in length, 1,790mm in width and 1,685mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,500mm. The boot space also remains unchanged at 328-litres. However, the CNG version now features an underbody-mounted CNG tank, freeing up the luggage space inside the boot.

Competition

In the subcompact SUV segment, the new 2026 Maruti Brezza facelift continues to rival the Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Skoda Kylaq and Mahindra XUV 3XO.
