Latest Update - Maruti Suzuki launched the new Dzire sedan on November 11, 2024, with a starting price of Rs 6.79 (ex-showroom). The fourth-generation Dzire comes with an all-new exterior design and a feature-packed interior with segment-first features including a single-pane electric sunroof and a 360-degree camera. The new-gen Dzire has also received the updated Z-Series petrol engine that also powers the latest Swift hatchback.

Key Features of New Maruti Dzire

With new Dzire, Maruti Suzuki has added several segment first and segment-leading comfort and convenience features. How Safe is 2025 Maruti Suzuki Dzire?

The big update is that the new Dzire becomes the first Maruti Suzuki model to score 5 star safety rating in Global NCAP crash test. As standard, it gets six airbags, hill-hold assist, reverse parking sensors, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), Seat-belt reminder and 3-point seatbelts for all seats and rear defogger. The top variants also get 360-degree camera and tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS). 

Engine Specifications

The new Maruti Dzire is powered by a new 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, naturally-aspirated petrol engine that also powers the new Swift. This engine produces 80.87bhp and 112Nm of torque. The CNG version delivers 69.04bhp and 102Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT for the petrol only variants, while the CNG variant comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Maruti Dzire Mileage

The Dzire has been one of the most fuel efficient sub-4 meter sedans on sale in the Indian market. The manual version is claimed to offer an ARAI certified fuel economy of 24.79kmpl. Its efficiency increases to 25.71kmpl when paired to an AMT gearbox. The CNG version is the most fuel efficient with a certified mileage of 33.73km/kg.

Boot Space and Dimensions

In terms of proportions, the 4th Gen Maruti Suzuki Dzire is 3995mm long, 1735mm wide and 1525mm tall. The sedan rides on 2,450mm long wheelbase that's equivalent to the previous model. The sedan has a ground clearance of 163mm that's more than sufficient to tackle Indian roads. 

The sedan offers a boot space of 382-litres, which is good enough to accommodate your weekly bags. Its petrol variant has a kerb weight of around 920-960kgs, while the gross weight stands at 1,375kg. The CNG variant has a CNG tank of 55L capacity. The sedan rides on 15-inch dual-tone alloy wheels wrapped with 185-section tyres.

Maruti Suzuki is offering 7 colour options with the new Dzire out of which 3 are all-new. The color options include new Gallant Red, new Alluring Blue, new Nutmeg Brown, Bluish Black, Arctic White, Magma Grey and Splendid Silver.
