It is priced from Rs 5080000 to Rs 5380000 (ex-showroom).
Variants: The X1 is offered in 2 variants: xDrive 18i M Sport and sDrive 18d M Sport.
The BMW X1 SUV comes equipped with adaptive LED headlamps, BMW’s latest twin-screen curved-display setup, comprising a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display and a 10.7-inch infotainment system, 5G connectivity, voice assistant, AR satellite navigation, OTR updates, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an optional 205W 12-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, a panoramic sunroof, wireless smartphone charger, ambient lighting, BMW digital key support, dual-zone climate control, powered front seats with memory & massage functions and many more.
The safety net of this smallest BMW SUV comprises multiple airbags, a tyre pressure indicator, ABS with brake assist, an electronic parking brake, dynamic stability control, cornering brake control, park assist, and some driver-assistance systems such as cruise control with braking function, front collision warning with brake intervention, evasion assistant, and manual speed limit assist.
The X1 is offered in five exterior colour shades: Alpine White, Black Sapphire, M Portimao Blue, Storm Bay and Space Silver.
The third-generation BWM X1 comes with two engine options: a 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder, turbo-petrol (136PS/230Nm), and a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, turbo-diesel (150PS/360Nm). Both motors utilise a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Depending on the engine options, it can complete the century sprint in just 8.9 seconds.
BMW claims the petrol-fueled X1 can deliver 16.35 km/l, while its diesel version said to return 20.37 km/l.
The BMW X1 measures 4500mm long, 1845mm wide, and 1642mm tall. It possesses a wheelbase of 2692mm. The luggage carrying capacity stands at 476 litres and can be expandable to 1,600 litres with the rear seats folded.
The X1 rivals the upcoming Mercedes-Benz GLA, Volvo XC40, and Audi Q3.
