Latest Update - BMW had launched the updated M340i xDrive in November 2024 in the Indian market. The latest version of the luxury sedan is locally assembled at the Chennai-based BMW plant.

The new BMW 3 Series Price in India starts at Rs 4690000, ex-showroom Pan-India. It is available in a single fully loaded version, called the M340i. 

Key Features of BMW M340i

The new M340i comes equipped with a curved display setup that houses a 12.3-inch digital driver's display and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit. The features list include a panoramic sunroof, a 16-speaker 464-Watt Harman Kardon sound system, Heads-Up Display, reversing camera, BMW Digital Key Plus, a wireless phone charger and others. 

BMW 3 Series Safety Features

In terms of safety, the BMW M340i comes with six airbags, ABS with brake assist, cornering brake control, and M Sport brakes. It gets dynamic stability control with dynamic traction control, Runflat tyres, xDrive AWD system, M Sport differential, 360-degree surround view camera with parallel parking and reverse parking assist.

New 3 Series Colours

The new BMW M340i is available in 5 exterior colour choices including Tanzanite Blue Metallic, Fire Red, Arctic Race Blue, Dravit Grey Metallic and Black Sapphire Metallic.

BMW 3 Series Engine and Transmission

Powering the new BMW 3 Series is a new 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that delivers 369bhp and 500Nm of torque. The engine is paired with an 8-speed Steptronic Sport automatic gearbox with paddle shifters for sporty drive.

It is claimed to achieve 0-100kmph acceleration in just 4.4 seconds. It comes with xDrive 4WD system that has variable torque distribution for improved traction and stability. It offers multiple drive modes - Comfort, Eco Pro, Sport and Sport+. The sporty sedan is equipped with the Adaptive M Suspension and M Sport brakes.

Mileage of BMW 3 Series

The new BMW M340i is claimed to offer an ARAI certified fuel economy of 13.02kmpl, which is good keeping its performance in mind. 

Dimensions and Boot Space

In terms of proportions, the new BMW M340i is 4713mm in length, 1827mm in width and 1440mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2851mm. The sedan has a fuel tank capacity of 59-litres. 

The BMW M340i sedan has a boot space of 480-litres, which is suitable to carry your weekend bags and moving large items. The back seats can be folded down in a 40:20:40 split, which increases the luggage carrying capacity to 1510-litres.
