BMW recently introduced the MY25 version of the 3 Series LWB. Initially, it was available with a petrol engine only. Now, BMW has broadened its offering by adding a diesel variant, catering to those who seek a blend of premium comfort and fuel efficiency in the long-wheelbase sedan segment. Alongside this update, the model has undergone a rebranding, dropping the 3 Series Gran Limousine name.
The BMW 3 Series LWB diesel is available in two variants: 320Ld M Sport and 320Ld M Sport Pro. The former is priced at Rs. 62 lakh, while the latter comes in at Rs. 65 lakh (both ex-showroom).
Powering the sedan is a diesel engine that delivers 187.6bhp and 400Nm of peak torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. It boasts a top speed of 230 kmph and accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in just 7.6 seconds. Additionally, the sedan features a 59-litre fuel tank and offers a claimed mileage of 19.6 kmpl.
Meanwhile, the petrol-powered BMW 3 Series LWB is available in a single variant – 320Li M Sport. Priced at Rs. 62.60 lakh (ex-showroom), this version offers a higher power output. Its petrol engine produces 254.6bhp and 400Nm of peak torque, enabling a top speed of 250 kmph. The sedan sprints from 0 to 100 kmph in just 6.2 seconds, delivering a more dynamic performance. Like its diesel counterpart, it comes paired with an eight-speed automatic gearbox and retains the 59-litre fuel tank. However, its claimed fuel efficiency stands at 15.3 kmpl.
For 2025, the BMW 3 Series LWB receives several upgrades, including new LED headlamps with DRLs, a curved 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and powered, ventilated front seats. The sedan also comes equipped with an ADAS suite for enhanced safety, a panoramic sunroof, and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. Additionally, it features six airbags and a multi-zone climate control system, ensuring both comfort and protection for occupants.
