Latest Updates: Back in September 2023, BMW India launched the iX1 electric SUV in India as a Completely Built Unit (CBU).

BMW retails the iX1 electric SUV at Rs 66.90 lakh (ex-showroom).

Variants: It is available in a single xDrive30 M Sport variant. 

Key Features of BMW iX1

The BMW iX1 comes loaded with features like an LED lighting system, high beam assistance, twin curved displays for infotainment and a digital driver’s display, wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto,  electrically adjustable front seats with memory & massage functions, ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof, a 12-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, dual-zone climate control, adaptive suspensions, and M Sport package for added appeal.

Safety Features

For safety, it has multiple airbags, rear parking sensors, park assist, reverse parking assist, traction control, stability control, rear-view camera, and driver assist functions like front collision warning and cruise control with brake assist.

Colours

The iX1 is available in four body shades: Alpine White, Storm Bay, Space Silver and Black Sapphire. 

Battery and Motor Specifications

BMW offers the iX1 xDrive30 M Sport variant 66.4kWh battery pack which powers a dual-motor AWD setup that makes 313PS/494Nm. It has a top speed of 180 kmph and can complete the 0-100 kmph run in just 5.6 seconds. 

BMW iX1 Range

It offers a WLTP-claimed range of up to 440 kilometres on a single charge.

Charging Time

Using a 130kW charger, the iX1 can be juiced up from 10-80% in roughly 29 minutes. However, the 11kW home charger will take approximately 6.30 hours to energise the battery pack from zero to 100%.

Dimensions and Boot

The 5-seater iX1 measures 4500mm in length, 1845mm in width, and 1642mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2692mm and a boot space of 490 litres.
