Land Rover Defender

The Land Rover Defender is a rugged, luxury SUV that is available in three body styles in India: 90, 110, and 130, and three seating configurations: 5-, 7-, and 8-seater. In total, it is available in 12 variants: SE, HSE, X-Dynamic, X, Outbound, V8, V8 Carpathian, new Octa and a limited-run Octa Edition One, priced between Rs 10390000 - 16400000 (ex-showroom). 

Underneath the hood, the SUV can be had from five engine options: a 2-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol (300PS/400Nm), a 3-litre six-cylinder diesel with 48V mild-hybrid tech (350PS/700Nm), a 5-litre V8 petrol (425PS/550Nm), a 5-litre supercharged V8 petrol (525PS/625Nm), and a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 with mild-hybrid tech (635PS/750Nm), all get an 8-speed automatic gearbox and an AWD system with a low-range transfer case. In the Indian market, the Land Rover Defender goes up against the Jeep Wrangler, Toyota Land Cruiser, and Mercedes-Benz G-Class.
