Skoda Auto has confirmed its entry into the Indian electric vehicle (EV) market for 2025. The Enyaq electric SUV will be its first EV offering and will make its public debut at next year’s Bharat Mobility Show in January. The company has already brought in a few prototypes with different power outputs for testing purposes in India. While variant and specification details are yet to be revealed, the EV is expected to be offered in a single Skoda Enyaq 80 variant. The powertrain setup of the Enyaq 80 comprises an 82kWh battery pack, promising a range of over 500km on a single charge. It also has an electric motor that delivers a maximum power output of 282bhp and 310Nm of torque. This electric SUV is claimed to accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in 6.7 seconds. It can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in just 28 minutes using a 125kW fast charger.
