Tata Curvv Overview
Tata Motors has entered the mid-sized SUV segment with the ICE version of the Curvv SUV Coupe. The SUV comes as a direct rival to the segment-leaders like Hyundai Creta and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara. The Tata Curvv SUV Coupe is based on the new ATLAS modular platform, which will also underpin the Tata Sierra ICE model and the next-gen Nexon compact SUV. This architecture is versatile enough to accommodate different body styles and powertrain options.
The SUV Coupe is positioned between the Nexon and the Harrier. It gets two turbocharged petrol and one diesel engine. It is only available in a front-wheel-drive layout and shares features and powertrains with the Nexon. Moreover, the SUV Coupe also debuts the brand's new 1.2L direct injection turbo petrol engine. Interestingly, all engine options of the Curvv SUV Coupe are offered with manual and dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
Tata Curvv Price and Variants
The Tata Curvv is available in 7 trims - Smart, Pure+, Creative, Creative S, Creative+ S, Accomplished S and Accomplished+ A. The Curvv price in India starts at Rs 10.00 lakh and goes up to Rs 19.00 lakh. All the prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.

This variant is the most balanced variant as it offers a mix of advanced tech features along with the voice assisted panoramic sunroof. The Tata Curvv exterior comes with Sequential LED DRLs with welcome & goodbye animation, bi-function LED headlamps, LED fog lamps with cornering, sequential turn indicators and connected LED tail-lamps. It rides on newly styled 18-inch alloy wheels. The SUV gets flush door handles with welcome light, dual-tone roof and shark fin antenna.
In terms of features, the Curvv SUV Coupe gets 4-spoke illuminated digital steering wheel, voice assisted panoramic sunroof with mood lighting, a digital driver's display and powered driver's seat. The Coupe SUV has 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment by Harman, which supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Other features include 9-speaker JBL sound system, Air purifier with AQI display, Auto dimming IRVM, wireless smartphone charger and illuminated cooled glovebox. It also comes with segment-first powered tailgate with gesture control. The SUV Coupe gets leatherette seats including ventilation function for front seats. It also comes with Level 2 ADAS or advanced driver assistance system.
Engine Specifications
The Tata Curvv SUV is available with 3 engine options - a 1.5L Kryojet diesel, a 1.2L Revotron petrol and a 1.2L direct injection turbo petrol. The diesel engine is capable of producing 116bhp at 4,000rpm and a peak torque of 260Nm between 1500-2750rpm.
The 1.2L 3-cylinder turbo petrol, Revotron engine churns out 118bhp at 5,500rpm and 170Nm between 1,750-4,000rpm. On the other hand, the Hyperion TGDi engine is capable of producing 123bhp at 5000rpm and a peak torque of 225Nm at 1750-3000rpm. All three engines offer 3 drive modes - Eco, City & Sports. Manual and Automatic duties are handled by a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic or DCA.
Tata Curvv Mileage
The company hasn’t revealed the exact fuel efficiency figures, We expect petrol to deliver around 12-13kmpl in real conditions. The diesel could return around 15-16kmpl, we’ll update on the same as soon as Tata Motors releases the official figures.
Exterior Design Highlights
The Tata Curvv design remains true to its concept, which debuted at the 2023 Auto Expo and the 2024 Bharat Mobility Show. The Coupe SUV features the brand's new design identity. It sports a bold front fascia, featuring an LED light-bar and Safari-like front grille. There is a strong shoulder line that runs across the width, complemented by flared wheel arches, and flush-type door handles.
There is a sloping roof line that merges nicely into the tail section. This gives it a coupe-like styling. The coupe profile is clearly visible from the rear profile. The Curvv gets new 3D LED lights that are connected by LED bar, and dual-tone lower bumper.
Tata Curvv Interior
The Tata Curvv SUV Coupe comes with a layered dashboard with faux carbon-fibre finish. The SUV gets dual-tone burgundy and black theme. The dashboard design and centre console styling are identical to the Nexon. It gets a four-spoke multi-functional steering wheel, which is identical to the Harrier and Safari.
The Curvv SUV Coupe gets a touch-panel for HVAC controls. It features a 12.3-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 10.25-inch digital driver's display and rotary dial to select drive modes. The AC vents are placed right between the touch panel and the touchscreen unit. It sports leatherette seats, 6-way powered driver's seat, ambient lighting, voice assisted panoramic sunroof, A-pillar-mounted tweeters, and auto dimming IRVM.
Dimensions and Boot Space
The Tata Curvv measures 4308mm in length, 1810mm in width and 1630mm in height. The Coupe SUV has a wheelbase of 2560mm that is just 62mm more than the sub-4 meter Nexon SUV. In fact, it has the smallest wheelbase in the category.
The base variant of the Curvv SUV Coupe rides on 16-inch steel wheels, while the mid-variants get 17-inch alloys. The top-spec model comes with 18-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 215/55 section tyres. The new Tata Curvv comes with a 500-litre boot space, which is the segment-largest. It can be further increased by folding the rear seats.
Infotainment and Connectivity (Music System)
The Tata Curvv is packed with a segment-largest 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment by HARMAN, which supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The Coupe SUV also supports multiple voice assistants such as Native, Alexa, SIRI and Google Assistant. For music lovers, the SUV gets a 9-speaker JBL sound system.
Safety Features
For safety and security, the Tata Curvv SUV Coupe gets 6 airbags, 3-point seat belts with seat belt reminder, hill descent control, hill hold control, reverse camera park assist, and iTPMs.
The Curvv SUV Coupe also comes with Level 2 ADAS with 20 features. It gets adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, lane change alert, adaptive steering assist and forward collision warning. Other features include autonomous emergency braking, high beam assist, traffic sign recognition, over speed alert, rear cross traffic alert, rear collision warning, blind spot detection, blind spot view monitor, 360 degree 3D Surround view camera system, door open alert on ORVM and driver doze-off alert.
Warranty & Maintenance
The Tata Curvv is available with 3 years or 1 lakh kilometers warranty as standard. The company is also providing extended warranty to its customers. Tata Motors is also giving roadside assistance and pick and drop service to Curvv ICE customers.
