Tata Motors is currently the largest electric vehicle manufacturer with close to 40 percent market share. The Tata Tiago EV is the most affordable electric car in the brand’s lineup. The brand’s only sedan is available in the form of the Tigor EV, which is also one of the most affordable electric cars in India.
In the affordable SUV category, Tata Motors is offering the Punch EV and Nexon EV. The brand is also offering an electric derivative of the Curvv SUV Coupe, which directly rivals the Hyundai Creta Electric and MG ZS EV. The latest Tata electric SUV car in India is Harrier EV, which is also the brand’s only AWD or QWD (Quad Wheel Drive) model.
Tata Motors is set to expand its line-up by introducing several new SUVs in the country. The company plans to launch 7 new nameplates, including the Sierra and Avinya. Its electric portfolio will welcome the Sierra EV, Altroz EV, Safari EV and Avinya. Adding to it, the homegrown automaker will launch the Sierra ICE and Punch facelift.
