Tata Tiago EV Overview
Tata Tiago EV is an electric vehicle based on the Tiago hatchback. It was first showcased at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo and finally launched in 2021.
The model hasn't been updated yet, but it has some unique design elements compared to its ICE sibling.
Exterior Design Highlights
Tata Tiago EV exterior design is in line with its petrol-powered version. The electric car has special features like blue accents on the front grille and blue surrounds on fog lamps.
On the sides, its silhouette remains the same. There are 14-inch dual tone alloy wheels with blue inserts, flattened wheel arches and ev badges on front fenders.
Towards the rear, the tailgate remains identical with just the addition of a Tiago EV badge placed right in the center.
Tata Tiago EV Interior and Features
Interior: The Tata Tiago EV interior features a dual tone (black and gray) colour theme. The dashboard layout is a familiar site apart from the inclusion of blue inserts around AC vents and instrument cluster. The cabin can accommodate 4 persons in great comfort.
Features: Tiago EV gets a 7-inch Harman Kardon touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other features include automatic HVAC (FATC), height adjustable driver’s seat, cooled glovebox, adjustable tilt steering wheel, voice control among others.
Safety: The electric hatchback has safety features like airbags, ABS, parking sensors, TPMS, rearview camera, hill assist, and more. The car also comes equipped with regenerative braking.
Tata Tiago EV Price and Variants
The Tiago Electric price in India starts from Rs 8.69 lakh and extends to 11.49 lakh (ex-showroom). It is offered in a total of 7 variants.
Engine and Specifications
Tata Tiago EV comes equipped with two battery pack options. First is a 19.2 kWh unit while the second happens to be a 23 kWh pack. Combined with an electric motor, the first battery pack option delivers a power output of 60 bhp with 110 Nm of peak torque. The larger unit produces 74 bhp with 114 Nm torque.
The electric car can be charged normally via a home 3.3 kW AC wall box charger. In addition to this, there is also a DC fast charger that can charge the battery from 10 to 80 percent in just a matter of 57 minutes.
Tata Tiago EV dimensions remain the same as its petrol powered sibling. The car measures 3,769mm in length, 1,677mm in width, and 1,536mm in height. It offers a wheelbase of 2,400mm with 14-inch alloy wheels.
Colours Options
There are 5 colour options available on the Tata Tiago EV. They include Pristine White, Daytona Grey, Midnight Plum, Signature Teal Blue and Tropical Mist.
Tata Tiago EV Mileage
Tiago electric featuring a 19.2 kWh battery pack delivers an electric range of 230 kms while the 23 kWh version provides a range of 315 kms on a single full charge.
