VinFast is an upcoming electric car company which is set to enter the Indian car market in 2025. VinFast India product line-up will include some of its global products including VF7, VF8, VF9, VF e34 and others. The VinFast VF7 is expected to be the first car from the Vietnamese automaker in India. The VF7 expected price in India is Rs 60 lakh.
History
The Vietnamese electric car company was started in 2017. It started as a part of the Vingroup to produce and market cars in Vietnam. The VinFast cars are on sale in both LHD (Left-Hand-Drive) and RHD (Right-Hand-Drive) markets. The company's India local production is expected to start by mid-2025 at its Chennai based factory, which was acquired in February 2024.
