VinFast VF 7

September 6, 2025: the VinFast VF7 electric SUV has been launched in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 20.89 lakh, ex-showroom. The SUV brought to India via a CKD route and assembled locally at VinFast’s Thoothukudi manufacturing plant in Tamil Nadu. 

July 15, 2025: VinFast Auto India has started accepting pre-bookings for the VF6 and VF7 electric SUVs. Interested customers can book these two EVs online by paying a token amount of Rs 21,000. 

July 15, 2025: the Vietnamese automaker joined hands with 13 dealer groups to open 32 dealerships across 27 Indian cities, including Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Pune, Chennai, Bengaluru, Pune and Hyderabad. 

VinFast VF7 Price in India

The VF7 electric SUV is available in 3 trim levels - Earth, Wind and Sky - and in total of 5 variants. The VinFast VF7 price in India starts at 2089000 and extends up to Rs 2549000, ex-showroom, Pan-India.

The VinFast VF7 gets LED lighting system, including automatic headlamp, LED tail-lights, LED DRLs and LED turn indicators. In terms of features, the SUV gets 19-inch wheels, power adjustable ORVM, heated and auto-dimming ORVM, powered tailgate, leatherette upholstery, an 8-way power adjustable driver’s seat, ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, and a panoramic glassroof. 

The electric SUV comes with 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an 8-speaker sound system, firmware over the air (FOTA) update, and others.

Safety Features

For safety and security, the new VinFast VF7 gets ABS with EBD, brake assist, electronic stability control, traction control system, hill start assist, 7 airbags, rain-sensing wipers, and TPMS. Other safety tech includes rear parking sensors, a 360-degree surround view monitoring, roll over mitigation, immobiliser, and seatbelt reminder. 

The new VF7 electric SUV also gets LEVEL 2 ADAS tech with features like blind spot detection, lane entering control, auto lane changing assist, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, emergency lane keeping, automatic emergency brake, forward collision warning, auto high beam, adaptive cruise control and others. 

Range and Charging

The VinFast VF7 is available with two battery choices - 59.6kWh and 70kWh. The bigger battery version also gets AWD setup, while FWD set-up is offered with both battery choices. The entry-level variant with 59.6kWh battery pack with a front-axle-mounted electric motor rated at 174bhp and 250Nm. 

The VF7 Wind and Wind Infinity variants get 70kWh battery and a front-wheel-drive layout, offering 201bhp and 310Nm. The Sky trim gets dual-motor AWD set-up offering a combined power and torque output of 349bhp and 500Nm of torque.

Dimensions and Boot Space

In terms of proportions, the new VinFast VF7 is 4550mm in length, 1893mm in width, 1596mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2840mm. The SUV has a ground clearance of 190-litres. 

The VF7 has a boot space of 537-litres, which is more than sufficient to carry 2-3 big suitcases along with your weekend bags. The luggage space can be further extended by folding the rear seats.
