The interior of the Mini Countryman offers a perfect blend of retro charm and modern functionality. The material quality is top-notch, with leather upholstery, soft-touch materials, and piano/metal black accents further enhancing its premium feel. The sporty seats provide excellent lateral support for both the driver and occupants. Comfort is enhanced by the electrically adjustable front seats with memory functions and dual-zone climate control. 

The crossover SUV features Mini’s signature dashboard theme, highlighted by an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay connectivity and built-in navigation. The Countryman provides 450 liters of boot space, which is adequate for day-to-day shopping and weekend trips. The rear seat has a 40:20:40 split ratio, expanding its cargo space to 1,390 liters.

How Safe is the Car?

Mini cars come equipped with a host of safety features, and the Countryman is no exception. The crossover SUV provides multiple airbags, including front, side, and curtain airbags for both the driver and front passenger. The safety kit also includes ABS with EBD, dynamic stability control, a traction control system, cornering brake control, a tire pressure monitoring system, a rearview camera, Isofix child seat anchors, brake assist, and three-point seat belts on all seats.

Engine Specifications

Powering the Mini Countryman is a 2.0L, 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The engine produces a peak power of 192bhp and 280Nm of torque. The JCW Inspired variant features a DCT ‘Sport’ transmission. The small SUV accelerates from 0 to 100kmph in 7.5 seconds and offers a maximum speed of 225km/h.

Mileage

The mileage of the Countryman is decent for its segment. Mini claims that the crossover SUV offers a fuel efficiency of 14.34kmpl (ARAI-certified). In real-life conditions, the mileage is around 10-12kmpl in city traffic and slightly higher on highways. It is important to note that driving style can also affect the vehicle’s fuel efficiency.
