Reasons to Buy Volkswagen Virtus in India

Among the major players in the Indian sedan market is the Volkswagen Virtus, offering German engineering along with top-notch safety and innovative features in an affordable package. Here are the reasons why this car could be the perfect addition to your garage. 1. Value-Driven Pricing The Virtus models are competitively priced: Rs. 10.90 lakh to Rs. 19.41 lakh, ex-showroom. This puts it alongside India's most popular sedans, the Honda City and Hyundai Verna, and the Virtus becomes a value-for-money option for Indians who want German engineering but do not want its luxury price tag. Volkswagen can easily get into this market by offering a car of this caliber at this rate in India, where the price-to-feature ratio defines the purchase decision of any buyer. 2. Diverse Variants to Suit Indian Tastes Virtus has a wide variety of choices catering to every type of customer. The two major lines under Virtus are the Dynamic Line and Performance Line. Dynamic Line consists of Comfortline, Highline, and Topline. This line targets comfort and provides more economies for a customer on the lookout for the best within budget, as the Performance Line is specially designed for enthusiasts. The latter offers sporty design lines with red brake calipers. All these variants are intended to cater to varied tastes and budgets; this is what the Indian market requires, where flexibility often precedes options for customizations to drive buying decisions. 3. Stunning Colour Option The hue did a different tale by allowing the Virtus to storm the markets in a wider palette of colour. Those who want an unusual option prefer Curcuma Yellow or Lava Blue; the more conventional options are Reflex Silver and Candy White. It appeals to that young audience, or just who would want his personality well through his car. The Performance Line has always offered more dual-tone versions. However, they end up coming classy and to the desire of the Indian customers seeking a car, which adds this dash of style. 4. Adequate Boot Space for the Indian Traveler The Virtus has enough boot space at 521 litres and is therefore well-suited for the Indian family or a frequent traveler who needs more storage. India is a country that loves road trips, and big boot space can make all the difference to a family. With the capacity to fold down the rear seats to expand the storage to 1,050 litres, the Virtus provides flexibility that other sedans in this class hardly do. 5.  Engine Option for Different Driving Needs Virtus provides the market with two turbo-petrol engines catering to two different types of customers: 1.0-litre TSI: At 113.42 bhp power with 178 Nm of torque, this one is available with a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission. This petrol, the company claims, returns up to 20.08 km/l (manual) and up to 18.45 km/l (automatic) while managing the urban Indian driver seeking a reliable and inexpensive city commutator. 1.5-litre TSI EVO Engine: It produces 147.94 bhp and 250 Nm of torque and is also available with a 6-speed manual as well as a 7-speed DSG transmission. The 1.5-litre engine for the enthusiast includes Active Cylinder Technology (ACT), which deactivates two cylinders when less power is required. This technology, therefore, enhances fuel efficiency, a critical factor for long-distance driving across India's varied landscapes.   6. Enhanced Infotainment and Connectivity The Virtus offers a 10.1-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration. It is a must-have for Indian drivers since navigation and smartphone integration depend highly on it. Secondly, the car's digital driver's display is a fully customizable 8-inch monitor, and this will further make driving more enjoyable and specific to an individual's wishes. The convenience of adding wireless charging is a massive advantage in a tech-inclined market like India, where mobile connectivity can be required daily 7. Safety First Volkswagen has focused on robust safety features in the Virtus, and this combines with a 5-star Global NCAP rating, which will be a significant draw for Indian families. Featuring six airbags, ESC, multi-collision brakes, ISOFIX child seat anchors, and hill-hold assist, the Virtus accentuates passenger safety and gives peace of mind to Indian customers. As awareness regarding road safety grows in the country, all these features make the car an attractive proposition 8. Usability-Oriented Features Indian drivers love conveniences, and the Virtus is quite impressive in providing such facilities, including the push-button start/stop, auto-dimming IRVM, rain-sensing wipers, ventilated front seats, and a sunroof. These facilities create a feel of luxury and comfort, especially during sweltering Indian summers, whereas the ventilated seats and the sunroof provide a feeling of premiumness. Volkswagen has paid high attention to detail while preparing the Virtus, paying heed to the comfort of both the driver and passenger. Final Thoughts: A Brilliant Choice for the Indian Market The Volkswagen Virtus is a very well-rounded car, taking the best from German engineering and presenting features specific to the requirements of the Indian market. Design, robust safety, customization variants, and cost-effectiveness are all put together to make this a tough contender in the market for sedans like the Honda City, Hyundai Verna, and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz. Whether driven by fuel efficiency, driving pleasure, or cutting-edge safety, Virtus brings the best of Volkswagen's automotive expertise to Indian roads with its sedan experience tailored to meet the needs of different Indian consumers. Skoda Kylaq's Cousin SUV Volkswagen Tera Spied Again
News
Skoda Kylaq's Cousin SUV Volkswagen Tera Spied Again

Spy shots of Volkswagen's new SUV, Tera, have surfaced again, this time in the form of a test model on the rough dirt roads of Argentina. The sighting has generated enough excitement that the Tera may be coming to India to fill up the gap that was left by the axed Polo and subsequently may be competing with sub-4m SUVs to gain a share in the highly sought-after category. Testing in Argentina: What We Know So Far The Volkswagen Tera recently hit the rough roads of a famous Argentine highway named Ruta 40. The final design prototype SUV Volkswagen Tera's exterior was camouflaged when local journalists from Motor1 caught shots of it driving through dirt detours on the stretch between Cafayate and Amaicha del Valle, where local repairs to bridges were going on. VW Argentina's General Manager, Martin Massimino, stated that Tera will launch in Argentina by 2025, probably sometime after it's launched in Brazil. Regarding pricing, it is said to be between Polo Track and more affordable versions of T-Cross. It is expected to cost around 27 to 31 million pesos, or Rs. 16.5 lakh to Rs. 19 lakh. Why the Tera Could be a Perfection for India The Tera fills a huge gap in Volkswagen's lineup, especially in the Indian market. Now that the Polo has been discontinued, Volkswagen does not have a sub-4 meter model in the market. The sibling, Skoda, is launching the Kylaq, a sub-4 meter compact SUV based on the same platform to be manufactured in India. The Tera could be easily mated onto the Skoda Kushaq and Taigun's common platform and use the existing production infrastructure and technology in place within India for production. Common Platform for Economies of Scale to Be Obtained Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun are built on the MQB-A0 platform, so will be Tera. This also affords production opportunities at a reasonable cost and helps make this SUV more feasible to be manufactured locally in India. For the powerplant, the Tera will get a 1.0-litre turbocharged unit that should pump in around 116 horsepower. The transmission will be 6-speed manual or automatic. A New, Budget-Friendly SUV for India The Tera would see Volkswagen enter the sub-4m SUV space, thus competing with popular models like Hyundai Venue and Tata Nexon. It would present more choices for buyers, given its under, Rs. 10 lakh price tag. Image Source Also Read: Car Retail Sales Oct 2024 - Close Fight Between Hyundai, Tata, and

Volkswagen Tera Compact SUV Global Debut Soon - Based On Skoda Kylaq

We reported earlier that Volkswagen will introduce an all-new compact SUV in Brazil. Internally codenamed A0, the new entry-level SUV finally has an official name. Called Volkswagen Tera, the new compact SUV will be introduced in global markets in 2025. Positioned below Nivus and T-Cross, the new VW Tera will directly rival the Fiat Pulse and Renault Kardian.  Volkswagen Tera - Key Details The new Tera will come with the brand's new design language, which is offered on the latest Volkswagen launches in Europe and North America. The compact SUV has been caught undergoing testing multiple times near Sao Bernardo do Campo (SP) factory.  The compact SUV design is inspired from the European Tiguan. The front fascia has full LED headlights with daytime running lights positioned on the top. There is no illuminated grille connecting the two sides, while the uniquely styled bumper has a wide black bar that offers a sense of robustness and aggressive looks.  The side profile has clean surfaces with strong lines, rounded wheel arches with creases and black plastic cladding. There are worn-out plastic appliques on the front fenders, which gives it an SUV characteristic.  The new Volkswagen Tera SUV will be based on the MQB A0 platform that underpins the Polo, T-Cross, Nivus and Virtus in global markets. The same platform is used to develop the Taigun and Skoda Kushaq. In fact, the upcoming Skoda Kylaq will also be based on the same architecture. In terms of size, the new model will have a wheelbase of around 2566mm. It will measure around 4 meters in length. The SUV will share most of its interior and features including the instrument console and infotainment unit with the Nivus Coupe SUV. Powering the new VW Tera is a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine with manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox options. It is rumoured to produce up to 116bhp when fueled with ethanol. The Kylaq also gets the 1.0L TSI engine with 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox.  Volkswagen Tera - India Launch? Volkswagen is reportedly working on an all-new sub-4 meter SUV, which will be based on Skoda Kylaq. The new compact SUV is likely to be launched in our market in 2026. The SUV will be significantly different than the Kylaq. It is expected that the India-spec model will share the styling and interior with the VW Tera.  Also See - Maruti Suzuki Vitara Electric Fully Revealed - India Launch By March
