India’s #1
New Car Buying Platform
A new generation of Maruti Suzuki's popular Dzire compact sedan will launch soon. The official launch is set for November 11, 2024. The all-new generation of one of the most awaited models for Maruti this year, the new Dzire, promises a design refresh, upgrades in features, and an upscale look as well. What to expect in this new arrival?
The New Maruti Dzire will sport premium appeal, which will differentiate it from its sibling, Swift. While the two share the same platform and base architecture, Dzire will sport an altogether different look with just more premium appeal. It is expected that the car would have the "Audi-esque" front fascia with a blacked-out grille accented with chrome and slim headlamps having black bezels, while a sportier front bumper adds overall aggression to the sedan. Even the Dzire will have new and restyled diamond-cut alloy wheels, sleek wraparound LED tail lamps, and sharper body lines to give a much more upscale and energetic look.
A sunroof is certainly going to be an attractive feature, giving the impression of a premium compact sedan for buyers. Inside, Maruti will give the cabin of the Dzire a rich feel, with lighter upholstery and shades on the dashboard adding to the spaciousness. Shared from the Swift comes a 9-inch freestanding touchscreen along with automatic climate control and a modern instrument cluster with a 4.2-inch digital display.
It is also expected that the new Dzire will get ADAS to feature in higher trims, an aspect almost synonymous with premium vehicles. That would further add an altogether different aspect of safety to the Dzire family.
The new Dzire will carry over the same 1.2-litre, three-cylinder Z Series petrol powertrain as in the Swift. This engine would mean 80.87 bhp and 112 Nm of torque, making it well-balanced for both performance and fuel efficiency. The Dzire will come with a 5-speed manual as well as an automated manual transmission for its petrol variants. A petrol-CNG variant will also be made available to meet the requirement of going green and for fuel efficiency, though it is a manual only.
The new Dzire will enter the competitive space, rivaling the Hyundai Aura, Honda Amaze, and Tata Tigor. The new Dzire will consolidate the brand's place in the compact sedan market of India as the most in-demand model based on the new look and a more feature-packed model. A CNG variant addition will again improve its market allure.
While Maruti Suzuki will likely begin booking shortly after the Diwali festival, deliveries will likely start going by mid-November, and this gives ample space for potential buyers to book their new Dzire in time for festival season. Once promising updates and premium features, the launch of the Dzire is sure to bring plenty of interest and even set precedence for Indian compact sedans.
