The long-awaited all-new Renault Duster will finally launch in our market on January 26, 2026. The SUV will be manufactured at Renault’s Chennai based production facility, and its production is expected to begin soon. The Duster is going to be the first product to be launched under the brand’s International Game Plan 2027 in India.
Renault will aim at higher level of localisation to achieve competitive pricing. It will be based on Renault’s CMF-B modular platform, which is heavily localised for the new Duster and a new 7-seater SUV. We expect the new Renault Duster to price around Rs 10 lakh to Rs 16 lakh, ex-showroom. The new Duster will directly rival the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Victoris and others in its category.
The new Duster will initially offered with a petrol engine; however, Renault is considering hybrid powertrain. The hybrid version is likely to arrive in late 2026 or early 2027. The all-new Renault Duster is expected to be powered by a 1.3-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine that produces 151bhp and 250Nm of torque. Transmission choices likely to include a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT. The lower-spec models could either receive a 1.5L NA petrol or a 1.0L 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine.
The new SUV will come with decent comfort and convenience features such as a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a digital driver’s display, powered driver’s seat and ventilated front seats. Other key features likely to include automatic AC, LEVEL 2 ADAS, panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree surround view camera, 6 airbags, ESP, traction control, hill launch and decent control, etc.
