Mahindra has been working on its upcoming Born-Electric Range for a long time. Among all, the entry-level, BE.05 was spotted testing on Indian roads. Now, the interior of this electric SUV has also been spied.
Based on the spy images, the BE.05 has an all-black cabin theme with silver accents. It also has a floating-styled centre console in a piano black finish with storage underneath. There is also a tall gear lever, push start/stop button, cup holder, wireless charger, and a rotary knob to control infotainment. The dashboard has a 10.25-inch dual-screen setup for infotainment and instrument cluster.
The electric SUV also has a twin-spoke steering wheel with the illuminated BE logo and touch capacitive control. Another highlight is the strap-like door grab handle.
The upcoming BE.05 will be based on the new INGLO EV platform. As for the battery pack, the vehicle is likely to be powered by a 60 kWh battery pack and with front & rear mounted motor setup for different variants. The expected driving range of the electric SUV is between 434-450 km.
Mahindra is expected to launch its BE.05 by October 2025 in India. Price for the electric SUV is likely to be around Rs 25 Lakh (ex-showroom). Rival options will include Hyundai Kona Electric, MG ZS EV, Tata Curvv EV, and Hyundai Creta EV.
