BMW India recently launched two new cars in the country (at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025), which are the all-new X3 and the all-electric iX1 LWB. The X1 Long Wheelbase All Electric eDrive20L M Sport is priced at Rs 49 lakh (ex-showroom) and the X3 is priced at Rs. 75.8 lakh (ex-showroom). The launch of BMW India’s first locally made EV hint that the brand might consider introducing LWB SUVs in the country.
Let's have a look at these newly launched BMW cars in India.
The fourth-generation BMW X3 is finally launched in India. The SUV is said to offer two variants which are a petrol-powered X3 20 and an X3 20d diesel. The new-gen X3 comes with a completely new design, with a new-format kidney grille and a new-look front bumper. The exterior of the car features sleek LED headlights with integrated dual L-shaped DRLs for the front, as the rear section features new Y-shaped LED taillamps.
The inside of the cabin, the all-new X3 features a curved display and BMW’s latest iDrive9 infotainment system. The SUV also comes with flat-bottom steering, heated sports seats, and connected tech.
This new-gen X3 is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that delivers 206 bhp and 310Nm of torque, and the X3 20d is powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine that offers 197 bhp and 400Nm of torque. Both of these engines are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The iX1 LWB features a blanked-off grille with silver inserts, dual-pod LED headlamps, dual-tone alloy wheels, flush door handles, and a blacked-out roof. This car is offered in five metallic colour options which are Mineral White, Skyscraper Grey, M Carbon Black, M Portimao Blue, and Sparkling Copper Grey.
In terms of design, the BMW iX1 LWB features a blanked-off grille with silver inserts, dual-pod LED headlamps, dual-tone alloy wheels, flush door handles, and a blacked-out roof. Inside, offers a panoramic sunroof, rear seats that recline up to 28.5 degrees and have a 40:20:40 split-folding function, dual-zone climate control, a 205W 12-speaker Harman Kardon system, and Veganza leatherette upholstery.
The newly launched iX1 LWB is powered by a 66.4 kWh battery pack that is expected a range of up to 531 km. The car delivers 206.83 bhp and 250 Nm of torque. The brand stated that the battery pack can be charged at speeds of up to 130 kWh on a DC fast charger.
