Tata Motors is gearing up to launch a much-anticipated facelift for its popular compact SUV, the Tata Punch. As a key player in the brand’s success story, the Punch has consistently delivered strong sales numbers and helped Tata carve a solid presence in the segment. With this facelift, the brand is looking to refresh the product and maintain its stronghold in the Indian market.
Recent spy shots have revealed new interior elements of the upcoming 2025 Tata Punch facelift. These images, captured in Pune, hint at significant upgrades aimed at bringing the Punch in line with Tata’s newer design language.

The current Punch is the only model in Tata’s ICE lineup that still features the older cabin layout. That’s about to change. The 2025 facelift will introduce a more modern and tech-laden interior, similar to what we now see in the recently updated Altroz and other newer Tata vehicles.
Among the standout changes is a newly designed two-spoke leatherette steering wheel, complete with an illuminated Tata logo and touch-based controls for audio and cruise settings. The highlight, however, is the introduction of a fully digital 7-inch TFT instrument cluster. This setup offers a cleaner, more informative display and brings a premium feel to the cabin.
While some expected the larger 10.2-inch digital cluster seen in the Punch EV to make its way into the ICE model as well, it seems Tata is reserving that for the EV variant. Still, buyers will get a 10.2-inch infotainment touchscreen, supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ensuring a connected experience on the go.
Though not visible in the latest spy images, it’s possible that Tata could introduce a newer climate control interface and revised dashboard materials with the facelift. Other features such as a manual handbrake, front armrest, wireless charger, and cup holders remain unchanged.
While the interior sees a major overhaul, the exterior appears mostly untouched. This could come as a surprise to many, especially given the speculation that the ICE Punch facelift would borrow the sleeker, more futuristic design elements of the Punch EV. However, the test mule spotted recently retains the same exterior design as the outgoing model.
This might suggest that Tata is reserving a full design refresh for a future update or is focused on giving the Punch a subtle, feature-rich evolution rather than a complete redesign.
Under the hood, the 2025 Tata Punch facelift is expected to continue with the current engine lineup. This includes the 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 86 bhp and 113 Nm of torque. The model will also continue to offer an i-CNG variant that delivers 73.4 bhp and 103 Nm.
Transmission duties will be handled by a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox, depending on the variant.
The 2025 Tata Punch facelift is expected to be launched around the festive season. With its upgraded interior and tech features, the new model is likely to attract more buyers. If priced well, it could help Tata Motors strengthen its position in the compact SUV segment.
