Toyota Kirloskar Motor recently took the covers off its new Vellfire MPV. Now ahead of its global launch next month, fresh spy images reveal the vehicle’s production guise at the end of the factory line. Expected to be based on a new platform which it shares with the Lexus LM, the upcoming MPV will offer a higher level of comfort and luxury to its occupants.
Based on the spy images, we can confirm that the overall silhouette of the MPV will remain identical while featuring significant rework to the exterior look. Upfront it will feature a bold 6-slat chrome grill with restyled sleek LED lights all around. Moving to the side, it will highlight a new large glasshouse, merging seamlessly with the rest of the design to create an airy feeling on the inside. Other interesting bits will include a large spoiler and chrome surround all around.
While there are no pictures to confirm the interior equipment of the upcoming Vellfire, we have reports that suggest a more luxurious cabin. Expected equipment includes a larger touchscreen, aircraft lounge-like seating, leather upholstery and more.
The MPV is expected to be powered by a 2.5-litre Petrol Hybrid engine. This engine might be offered in different power outputs based on the model or country it is being sold.
As of now, Toyota has not shown its intent to bring the new Vellfire to India. But based on the popularity of the current model and its intent to bring the Lexus LM to the country, we can expect a late 2024 launch for the upcoming model.
