What’s new on the 2022 Mercedes Benz C-Class?
The Mercedes C-Class 2022 model is a sharp departure from the company’s previous models in every sense. Starting with the exterior design, the four-wheeler now gets an evolutionary outlook with shorter overhangs, similar to the one seen on the new Mercedes S-Class. The front end is characterised by more angular lines and sleek headlamps, giving the saloon an aggressive look. A larger car in all dimensions, the new C-Class is 65mm longer, 10 mm wider and features a 25 mm increase in wheelbase compared to the outgoing model. Moving towards the side and the rear, we are greeted with the presence of new alloy wheel design along with a sloping roofline, split tail lamps and twin chrome tip exhaust.
The interior of the new model is borrowed from the new S-Class with a large tablet-like infotainment touchscreen running the second generation MBUX software. The system offers a biometric scanner, connected car technology and OTA updates. Other standard equipment onboard includes dual-zone climate control, a dual-pane sunroof, a wireless charger, powered front seats, and steering adjust. The top-of-the-line C300d model also gets Mercedes digital headlamps. Upping the luxury quotient, the vehicle is offered with three interior colour options Macchiato Beige, Sienna Brown and Black, with open-pore wood or metal weave trim.
2022 Mercedes Benz C-Class Powertrain Options:
Mercedes C-Class 2022 comes powered by one petrol and one diesel engine. The C220 is equipped with a 1.5-litre four-cylinder unit that produces 204 bhp and 300 Nm of torque, while the C220d comes with the larger 2.0-litre unit that delivers 200 bhp and 440 Nm of peak torque. The top-of-the-line C300d comes with the same 2.0-litre mill but in a higher state of tune, producing 265 bhp and 550 Nm of torque. All models come equipped with a 9-speed Steptronic automatic gearbox and a 48V mild-hybrid system as standard.
