Honda is set to unveil the 2025 Honda City facelift in Brazil on November 9th. It will hit Indian shores sometime early next year. Although all these changes are cosmetic, they give this very popular sedan a new look and a few new features.
The most visible change is in the front grille, which adds a modern and aggressive touch to the City. This car has redesigned front and rear bumpers, giving it a sporty feel.
Inside, the 2025 City sports a new theme in white on black as used by City e:HEV. The biggest highlight here would be the dual-zone climate control. That's surely going to make driving a lot more pleasurable. The wireless charging pad has also been shifted behind the gear lever for easier access.
The new City still enjoys high-class features, such as Honda Connect, Level 2 ADAS, and full LED headlamps in the top variant. These features, alongside the new additions, make it a very well-equipped, technologically advanced sedan.
In Brazil, City will get a 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine producing 119 bhp and 145 Nm of torque. A 6-speed manual or a CVT transmission will be available to the buyer. In India, there is a hybrid model also available. The petrol engine in this unit develops 100 bhp and 127 Nm of torque. An electric motor provides an additional performance gain as well as improved fuel economy, especially useful for heavy traffic.
With the facelift version of the 2025 model, Honda wants to further entrench the City in a very competitive segment of the sedan market. The subliminal changes, together with the new dual-zone climate control feature, are to attract more buyers and maintain the current one. Doubtless, the same dual-zone climate control is going to make its debut in the forthcoming Honda Elevate SUV.
