Jeep India is gearing up to launch an updated version of the Meridian in the market by 2025. The Meridian facelift will receive cosmetic changes from the outside and new features on the inside. Ahead of its launch, the brand has started accepting bookings against the token amount of Rs 50,000. With the launch of the 2025 Meridian, the brand will introduce notable features such as ADAS and two types of seating layouts. Let’s get into more details!
One of the noteworthy updates for the 2025 Meridian facelift is the addition of an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). This Level 2 ADAS suite will comprise various features such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Emergency Braking, and Lane Keeping Assist.
Furthermore, the facelifted SUV will offer up to 70 safety features including Electronic Stability Control, Electronic Parking Brake, All-Speed Traction Control System, Reverse Parking Sensor & Camera, and Hill Start Assist.
Another significant upgrade is that the new Jeep Meridian will be offered in both 5-seat and 5+2-seat layouts. This will attract more customers seeking the 5-seater SUV at an affordable price. The 7-seater Meridian was available in the price range of Rs 31.23 to Rs 39.83 lakh (ex-showroom), while the 5-seater Meridian will be cheaper than the aforementioned price range.
Although there will be some design changes and feature additions, the updated SUV will continue to be powered by the same set of powertrains. It will include a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine. Paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission, this 4-cylinder engine can produce a maximum power of 170 bhp and 350 Nm of torque. It will be available in 4x2 and 4x4 drivetrain options.
