Lexus has launched the 2025 LX 500d, its flagship luxury SUV, with some new additions and upgrades. Following the display of the vehicle at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo, the company has now reopened bookings for the SUV, which were temporarily halted in February. The 2025 model features a new off-road-oriented variant, the Overtrail, along with the Urban variant that was already available.
The 2025 Lexus LX 500d is available in two entirely different models: Urban and Overtrail. The Urban itself is made specifically for urban use and is equipped with sporty front grilles in silver finish, horizontal thin positioned LED headlights, and 22-inch dual-tone alloys. It also features chrome trim, LED taillights in a cluster, a blacked-out rear bumper, and colours that come in Sonic Quartz, Sonic Titanium, and Graphite Black. The Overtrail version, for the off-road enthusiasts, features most of the same but a grey grille, silver skid plates, and 18-inch grey alloy wheels with all-terrain tires. It also features front and rear differential locks for improved off-road capability and is available only in Moon Desert colour.
Inside, the Lexus LX 500d is a high-end car with lots of provision for various tastes. The Urban trim gets a tan and maroon dual-tone interior, and the Overtrail trim gets an all-dark green theme. The dashboard features a three-spoke black steering wheel, a dedicated touchscreen, and an upper screen to manage other parameters of the car. The middle console features a gearshift knob, two cup-holders, a wireless charging tray for smartphones, and an armrest-blocking storage bin.
The SUV is also equipped with the best of all, including a 12.3-inch screen display and an 8-inch driver's instrument display and 7-inch for secondary operations. For comfort, the SUV has a 4-zone automatic climate control, 25-speaker audio, rear-seat entertainment system with two 11.6-inch displays, and massaging and heated front seats.
The 2025 Lexus LX 500d features a 3.3-litre V6 diesel engine. Smooth power delivery comes from the 304 bhp and the 700Nm of maximum torque to all four wheels through a 10-speed automatic transmission. This smooth power delivery gives smooth highway runs and rough road runs too.
Safety has been given priority in the 2025 LX 500d, which is equipped with a long array of safety features. It has 10 airbags, hill assist control, electronic parking brake, and tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) to name a few. It also features advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) like adaptive cruise control, lane departure assist, and automatic emergency braking to enhance road safety.
2025 Lexus LX 500d comes in two flavors, the Urban at Rs 3 crore and Overtrail at Rs 3.12 crore (ex-showroom, pan-India). These also capture the premium as well as the luxury of features of the SUV.
