Volvo has introduced the updated 2025 S90 luxury sedan for global markets, showcasing a sleek new design and advanced tech upgrades.
The facelifted S90 now sports a more refined exterior, a larger touchscreen with an improved user interface, and enhanced interior comfort. The plug-in hybrid version also benefits from increased electric range, making it more efficient and eco-friendly.
With these changes, the new Volvo S90 stands out as a stylish, feature-packed, and sustainable choice in the premium sedan segment. Here is what's changed!
The 2025 Volvo S90 facelift brings a refreshed exterior design that adds a bold and modern touch to the luxury sedan.
Up front, it features a redesigned grille with distinctive bi-directional slanting lines, flanked by sleeker Thor’s Hammer LED headlights that now incorporate advanced Matrix LED technology. A sculpted bonnet, revised front bumper, and reworked front fenders enhance its elegant stance.
The side profile showcases new diamond-cut alloy wheels finished in a striking combination of raw aluminium, polished surfaces, and gloss black accents.
At the rear, the facelifted S90 gets updated C-shaped tail lamps and a subtle boot lip spoiler, further refining its premium appeal.

Inside the cabin, the 2025 Volvo S90 gets a tech-focused upgrade with a new 11.2-inch free-standing touchscreen featuring the latest Volvo Car UX interface. This updated infotainment system offers a more intuitive user experience and now supports over-the-air (OTA) software updates.
Volvo S90 facelift comes equipped with advanced safety features, including Pilot Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Braking in Stop-and-Go Traffic, Lane Keeping Aid, and Gentle Steering Assist, all designed to enhance driving comfort and safety.
The 2025 Volvo S90 now offers a plug-in hybrid variant with an 80 km EV-only range on a single charge. Volvo’s data shows that nearly half of the distance covered by their latest plug-in hybrid models is powered purely by electricity.
The S90 also comes in a mild-hybrid version featuring a 4-cylinder turbo petrol engine and front-wheel drive. Additionally, the S90 is equipped with enhanced sound insulation and advanced adaptive suspension as standard for a quieter, more comfortable driving experience.
The updated 2025 Volvo S90 is expected to first launch in China in the middle of this year, followed by its release in other markets. In India, the pre-facelift S90 is currently available for Rs 68.25 lakh (ex-showroom) in its mild-hybrid variant. It remains to be seen when the updated model will arrive in India.
