Mahindra is preparing for a major product rollout in 2026, with plans to launch three new internal combustion engine (ICE) SUVs. The lineup will include refreshed versions of the Thar and XUV700, along with the next-generation Bolero.
All three models will be built on Mahindra’s all-new New Flexible Architecture (NFA) platform, which is set to debut on August 15, 2025—aligning with India’s 78th Independence Day.
Revealed during Mahindra’s latest financial briefing, the New Flexible Architecture (NFA) is a versatile platform designed to support multiple powertrains—petrol, diesel, hybrid, and electric. The introduction of NFA will help the brand meet evolving emission regulations and market preferences, while also enabling a new generation of rugged yet modern Mahindra SUVs.

Likely to be renamed the Mahindra XUV 7XO, the facelifted XUV700 is expected to feature a host of premium upgrades when it launches in 2026.
Key highlights include:

The iconic Thar will receive a significant update in 2026, borrowing tech and design elements from the recently introduced Thar Roxx.
Expected features include:

The Bolero, one of India’s most iconic utility vehicles, is set for a major overhaul. The next-gen Bolero will be based on the NFA front-wheel-drive platform—a first for the nameplate. Mahindra will offer both sub-4 meter and long-wheelbase variants.
Expected updates:
Mahindra has announced plans to launch 12 new SUVs by 2030, including a mix of internal combustion engine (ICE), hybrid, and electric models. The lineup will feature 7 petrol/diesel-powered vehicles and 5 electric SUVs. On the EV front, the brand will introduce the XUV 7e—an electric version of the XUV700 with up to 650 km range—by late 2025, followed by the Bolero EV and Thar.e in 2026.
Additional BE models like the BE.05 and BE.07 will arrive later in the decade, along with a facelifted XUV.e8. Among ICE and hybrid offerings, Mahindra will roll out a self-charging XUV700 hybrid, an all-new Bolero, a long-wheelbase 7-seater Bolero, and a new mid-size SUV positioned between the XUV 3XO and XUV700. Also in the pipeline are a Scorpio N-based pickup, an updated Bolero pickup for commercial use, and minor facelifts for the Thar and XUV700.
