JSW MG Motor India has confirmed its product lineup for the 2025 Bharat Mobility Show, which is set to begin next week. This time around, the carmaker will showcase its swanky global products including the Cyberster electric sportscar, M9 luxury electric MPV, L6 electric sedan and the ICE-powered MG 7 sedan. Here’s a brief on these upcoming MG cars.
The MG Cyberster will be the brand’s first model to be sold out via MG Select premium dealerships in India. Its entry-level version uses a 64kWh battery pack and a rear-axle mounted electric motor pushing out power worth 308bhp. This setup promises a range of 520km on a single charge. The top-end trim comes with a 77kWh battery and dual electric motor delivering a combined power of 544bhp and 725Nm of torque. It offers a CLTC-certified range of 580km. The sportscar’s dual motor AWD variant accelerates 0 to 100kmph in 3.2 seconds. The Cyberster measures 4,533mm in length, 1,912mm in width and 1,328mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,689mm.
The MG M9, which is slated to launch by March 2025, will be the second premium product to be retailed via MG Select outlets. This electric MPV features a 90kWh battery pack projected to deliver a WLTP range of 430km. It has three-row seating arrangement with the second row reclining ottoman seats offering eight massage functions. This luxury MPV has a separate touchscreen panel for the middle row seat occupants, dual sunroofs, seat ventilation, rear entertainment screens, powered sliding rear doors and many more features. The MG M9 adopts the conventional MPV stance, featuring LED headlamps placed surrounded by a chrome outline, full-width LED light bar, faux air dam at the lower section of the bumper, vertically positioned taillamps connected via an LED light strip.
IM L6 is an electric sedan from IM Motors (Intelligence in Motion Motors), which is a premium EV brand co-founded by SAIC Motor, Alibaba and Zhangjiang Hi-Tech in 2020. MG and IM are both connected to the SAIC Motor Corporation. Globally, the IM L6 is offered with multiple powertrain options including a 75kWh (CLTC range – 650km), an 83kWh (CLTC range – 701km), 100kWh (CLTC range – 850km), 100kWh (CLTC range - 780) and 133kWh (CLTC range – 1,000km). Its semi-solid-state battery version supports ultra-fast charging, enabling it to gain 400km of range in just 12 minutes. Some of its key features include a 26.3-inch triple screen setup, a vertical 10.5-inch control screen, an option between a half-moon or standard steering wheel, intelligent lighting system, POPO SOFA cloud seats, rear seats with six-speed backrest adjustment and more.
The MG 7 Trophy, the fastback sports sedan from the OEM, is globally available with two turbocharged petrol engine options – 1.5L and 2.0L. While the 1.5L petrol motor delivers a claimed power of 185bhp and 300Nm of torque with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, the 2.0L petrol version makes power worth 261bhp and 405Nm of torque with a 9-speed automatic transmission. This sports sedan is 4,884mm long, 1,889mm wide and 1,447mm tall. Its suspension setup consists of mCDC Intelligent adjustable electronic unit. This fastback sports sedan comes packed with features such as a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, wireless charging pad, ambient lighting, high quality system and more.
