Maruti Suzuki is going to launch the much-awaited new-generation Dzire on November 11, 2024. It will compete with the likes of the Hyundai Aura, Tata Tigor, and Honda Amaze. With so much improvement in terms of look, features, and improved engine efficiency, here's what the new Dzire has to offer:
The 2024 Dzire now brings a brand-new style and several upgraded features in the exterior front fascia, with the presence of vertical slats under the redesigned grille and positioned on both sides of sharp LED headlights that boast thin DRLs. As for its looks, it could be dressed up with twin-tone alloy wheels and LED tail lamps as well as a shark fin antenna to give this premium and refurbished look while setting itself differently from the Swift hatchback as it would continue with being a sub-four-meter compact sedan.
The interiors of the new Maruti Dzire are largely revamped, the most striking difference coming through a dual-tone black and beige theme that provides a modern premium feel to the car. The first major change that stands out here is the way the dashboard has been decked up with multi-layered refinements of upholstery that have elegance going into the insides. The 9-inch touchscreen infotainment supports wireless Android Auto as well as Apple CarPlay, and therefore, there will be seamless smartphone integration.
And to top that, it's the first time for the segment that a 360-degree camera has come along. This means that all four sides of the vehicle can have an unobstructed view from the driver's side to the other side, which makes parking safe and easy. There's an added electric sunroof for those class-leading advanced climate control and cruise control features, designed more for comfort and convenience while driving long. The flat-bottom steering wheel and semi-digital instrument cluster give the cabin a modern look to seamlessly blend functionality with a style that makes driving incredible.
The new safety will be improved through added features. There would be six airbags in the 2024 Dzire. It would include ABS with EBD and ESP as standard features, along with rear parking sensors. Furthermore, a 360-degree camera would add extra comfort and enhance visibility in terms of parking and even sharp turns. It could even include features such as ADAS, or Advanced Driver Assistance System, with higher trims, which will further strengthen the safety aspects of this segment.
Under the hood, the 2024 Dzire will feature the Swift's 1.2-litre, three-cylinder Z Series petrol engine, generating 80 bhp and 112 Nm of torque, offering a good mix of power and fuel efficiency. It will be sold with both a 5-speed manual and an automated manual transmission (AMT). Alongside, Maruti is also planning to offer an option of CNG that will come with manual transmission to cater to a lot of fleet operators or fuel-thrifty consumers hunting for cost-effective fuel options.
Although Maruti hasn't officially revealed the price tag for the new Dzire, it's to be expected that the price may slightly go up in terms of the current one priced between Rs. 6.56 lakh to Rs. 9.38 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings will start soon in the coming weeks, and deliveries will start somewhere around mid-November 2024.
