Audi, the German luxury car manufacturer, has launched the Q5 Special Edition, a new flagship variant of the luxury SUV. Priced at Rs 67.05 lakh (ex-showroom), the new Q5 model demands a premium of Rs 84,000 and features a plethora of cosmetic updates. However, it remains mechanically unaltered to it.
The new Audi Q5 Special Edition has been launched with two new paint shades; Ibis White and District Green, that are well contrasted by the new black styling package. A blacked-out finish has been provided for the Audi logo on the tailgate, the grille, and the wing mirrors. Whereas the 5-spoke wheels have got the new graphite grey touch.
While there are no changes on the equipment front, Audi is providing an accessories package with the car at a special discounted price that includes the running boards and also the Audi ring foil finished in silver.
In terms of features, the Audi Q5 Special Edition will carry over all equipment that has already been provided on the Technology trim. This includes powered front seats with memory, a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, three-zone climate control, 12.3 inch Audi Virtual Cockpit, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, eight airbags and parking aid plus among others.
The new Special Edition of Audi Q5 carries the same 2.0-litre, turbo petrol engine that produces 249 bhp and 370 Nm of torque. The SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 6.3 seconds and can reach a top speed of 237 kmph. The engine comes mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and the Audi Quattro all-wheel drive system as standard.
Audi Q5 continues to rival other luxury SUVs such as BMW X3, Mercedes-Benz GLC, Volvo XC60, and Land Rover Discovery Sport.
