Toyota Kirloskar Motor recently issued a statement that the company has temporarily halted accepting bookings for the Innova Hycross. This should be noted that the booking is stopped only for the top variants, i.e., ZX and ZX (O) that are available on the hybrid version of the MPV. These two variants will no longer be available for booking from today onwards. Continue reading to know the reason behind this step.
Toyota launched its Innova Hycross model in November 2022 and since then the company received overwhelming responses from customers. However, the company had to stop accepting bookings due to heavy demand for the strong hybrid variants of the vehicle as it was causing a huge waiting period for the customers. Meanwhile, the other variants of the MPV will be available for booking in both petrol and hybrid options. The company also claimed to do their best for resuming the bookings for aforesaid variants at the earliest.
Toyota Innova Hycross Hybrid is powered by a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, mated with an electric motor. The combined power output of this powertrain is 183 bhp and 206 Nm torque. In addition, the hybrid version offers a fuel efficiency of 23.4 kmpl (ARAI claimed) with CVT automatic transmission.
The Innova Hycross is available in both petrol and strong hybrid variants. The petrol version is available in G and GX trims. The price of petrol variants starts from Rs 18.55 lakh (ex-showroom) for the G 7S and goes up to Rs 19.45 lakh (ex-showroom) for the GX 8S trim.
For the strong hybrid option, the MPV is available with VX and ZX variants. The price of its lower trim starts at Rs 24.76 lakh (ex-showroom) for the VX 7S and goes up to Rs 29.72 lakh (ex-showroom) for the ZX (O) trim.
