Hyundai launched its most anticipated Creta Electric at the Auto Expo which was in January. This EV is the brand's cheapest all-electric SUV in India. There have been reports that the automaker is planning to debut a facelift of the model by 2027. To know more about the facelift, let's first look at what the recently launched model offers.
Hyundai is currently preparing to launch the third-gen Creta which could get a strong-hybrid engine in 2027. Speculations suggest that the brand is also likely to bring the facelift model of Creta Electric.
Hyundai Creta Electric could receive a mid-cycle refresh by 2027. Though there is not much information about the updates, we expect changes to the design, more tech, and comfort on the next level. Also, the Creta Electric facelift could offer a longer range due to larger batteries or better battery-management software.
The Creta Electric is priced at Rs. 17.99 lakh and goes up to Rs. 23.50 lakh, ex-showroom making it Hyundai's cheapest all-electric SUV. There are four main variants offered which are Executive, Smart, Premium, and Excellence. The EV comes with two battery options, a 51.4 kWh battery has an estimated range of 473 kilometers on a single charge, and a 42 kWh battery is claimed to deliver up to 390 kilometers.
As for the exterior design, the car is largely the same in shape as the standard Creta with some new changes. There is a new closed-off grille that features a pixelated pattern, a new bumper with active air flaps and there is a charging flap with the Hyundai logo. The car's 17-inch alloy wheels are designed to be aerodynamically friendly, the back side is the same as the rear bumper which features a silver skid plate and L-shaped connected LED DRLs and headlight.
The Creta EV is equipped with a pair of 10.25-inch digital screens, and ventilated, 2L technology, i-Pedal, Shift-by-wire gear, Digital Key, and a Bose sound system and power-adjustable front seats.
