Hyundai Exter facelift now starts at Rs 5.79 lakh Gets dashcam, 6 airbags and more features New design, better safety and same petrol engine
Hyundai Motor India Limited has launched the Hyundai Exter Facelift 2026 in India at a starting price of Rs 5.79 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated compact SUV now comes with more than 25 changes across design, features, comfort, and safety.
The new version keeps the same overall idea but adds small upgrades in all areas to make it feel more complete for everyday use.

The Exter facelift now looks a bit more fresh and bold than before. It gets a wider front design, a new black grille, and updated alloy wheels. At the rear, there is a new tailgate design along with a sporty spoiler.
Hyundai says it continues to be the tallest SUV in its segment and also offers the longest wheelbase. This helps in giving it a better road presence and also improves space inside the cabin.

Inside, the changes are simple but useful. The cabin now gets a new dual-tone Navy and Grey theme, along with a fresh dashboard design with a carbon-style finish.
There is a D-cut steering wheel, metal pedals, new seat covers, and a folding armrest for the driver. Space remains one of its strong points, with good headroom and legroom. Boot space stands at 391 litres, which is enough for daily needs.
Hyundai has also made some features standard now, like driver seat height adjustment and rear headrests.
The Exter facelift now gets more tech features than before. One of the main highlights is the dashcam, which is a first in this segment.
It also offers wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Rear passengers get a Type-C charging port. The SUV also comes with over 60 connected features through Bluelink and supports voice commands that can work even without internet.
Other features like electric sunroof, digital display, and OTA updates are still part of the package.
The Exter facelift continues with the 1.2-litre petrol engine, available with both manual and AMT options. Hyundai says this is the only SUV in its segment to offer a 4-cylinder engine, which helps in smoother performance.
The CNG version now gets a dual-cylinder setup. It also comes with an underbody spare tyre, which helps save space in the boot. Even with CNG, it offers around 225 litres of usable boot space.
Safety has been improved in the facelift model. The Exter now offers more than 45 safety features, with 30 of them available as standard.
It gets Electronic Stability Control and Hill Start Assist as standard. Six airbags are also offered as standard across all variants, which is a big plus in this segment.
The Hyundai Exter Facelift 2026 is priced between Rs 5.79 lakh and Rs 9.41 lakh for petrol variants. The CNG versions range from Rs 6.99 lakh to Rs 9.40 lakh (ex-showroom).
Bookings are open for Rs 11,000 at Hyundai dealerships and online.
With these updates, the Exter facelift becomes a more well-rounded option. It continues to target buyers who want a small SUV that is easy to drive, practical, and now comes with more features and better safety.
