The all-new Hyundai Verna has scored a full 5-star Global NCAP safety rating for both adult and child occupants. This safety test was carried out on Verna's basic variant that comes with ESC and six airbags as standard.
Furthermore, the automaker has announced that all the Hyundai car models will now come with six airbags as standard across all variants. In fact, three of its car models have been sent to undergo safety testing with Bharat NCAP.
For adult occupant safety, the Hyundai Verna has received a 5-star rating with scores of 28.18 points out of 34. Whereas, for child occupant safety, the car scored 42 out of 49. However, the bodyshell was marked as unstable as it could not withstand additional loads.
The 2023 Verna provides six airbags, Hill-Start Assist, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, ESC, EBD, ABS, front parking sensors, and cornering headlights. For the higher variants, the automaker offers Level 2 ADAS tech as well. These include Lane Following Assist, Blind Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist, Driver Attention Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist, and more.
The Hyundai Verna is offered with four variants; EX, S, S, and SX(O). Prices for these variants range between Rs 10.96 (ex-showroom) to Rs 17.38 lakh (ex-showroom).
